Positive experience: I don't smoke, but my wife shops there REGULARLY!

Negative experience: Congratulations to Healthy Connections in Mena for redefining what it means to lower expectations.. After witnessing how this medical center handles referrals and medical records, I can confidently say some clinics in developing countries manage better coordination—with far fewer resources. Somehow, between misfiled paperwork, and a referral process that moves at glacial speed, this place makes a compelling argument for why AI should handle healthcare. At least artificial intelligence wouldn’t “forget” to send documents or misfiled paperwork. We walked in looking for medical attention and walked out convinced that robots deserve a shot at this job.

Negative experience: Watch carefully. This clinic will over-prescribe unnecessary medications and place unsubstantiated false diagnoses on your medical records, while failing to document the real medical issues. This can affect insurability and future treatments, and is highly-dangerous and unprofessional. It was so bad I had to spend months and hire a law firm to un-screw my records. It is still ongoing. And you could easily die of old age waiting for them to process a simple referral. I have been to 3rd-world clinics that had a higher standard of care and more competent staff than Healthy Connections in Mena.

Fantastic experience: The admission staff is very thorough and professional. Anything that comes up or they are not clear about they call for verification instead of relying on an automated system.

Positive experience: Was having a bit of trouble getting my script refills sent to my pharmacy. But, while the clinic physicians have been out-of-pocket several months, I finally got my refills. The staff have been doing an amazing job of seeing to patient needs during the physicians' absences. Huge thanks to their loyalty, faithful and unending care and seeing to patient needs.

She’s a better and more competent Dr than most MD’s I’ve seen. NO joke, with the way the medical system has changed I feel lucky to have found such an experienced APRN to be my primary care giver. Just cause my medicine didn't show up in my urine he thought I was doing something wrong and I was not. I had took 1 extra several days for a tooth I broke. Now I can barely walk. In severe pain in lower and middle back. I don't know what he expects me to do. I have 9 bone spurs on spine and 4 on neck. He has x-rays and MRI to look at. I love him as my doctor but can't deal with this pain. Even bring him deer meat.lol

Negative experience: Went in for a follow up visit feeling sick at the time and the provider looked at me and asked some questions and basically sent me on my way. I went out to pay my bill in full and I was charged 115.00 for the visit of course minus 30% which brought it down closer to 80 since I pay cash. First time I have ever been charged 115.00 for a doctor visit and the lady at the window could not explain except that is what my rate was put in as. I paid my bill and said I would not be back, been going there almost 3 years and was never charged that much before. Found another provider and at least they charged me the normal 75.00 for a visit, no discounts but at least it was an honest charge at a going rate and no smoke screens and I actually was cared for there and given a shot for my ailment and felt much better the next day. The clinic I went to and was actually told my correct blood pressure of around 140/84 which was Plainview clinic Arkansas. Funny thing is anytime I went to healthy connections in Mena Arkansas my blood pressure was always perfect like less than 120/70 always but very seldom that low at my house when checking and sometimes would check it before going in just to see. Always perfect when in the clinic and the nurse checking it. I call bullshit!! Thanks and I hope this helps someone else out in the future Herbert

Negative experience: For me with private insurance it's not a good place to go. I've heard it's good if you have Medicare/Medicare. But Healthy connections truly punished me as a working person with bills. I went back to my old doctor and my wallet thanks me.

Negative experience: Worst experience I have ever had with a Dr in my life. She was rude from the get go, she acted as if I was a burden to her just by being there. I could hear her loudly yelling out the lab tests that I needed at the nurses station. It took 3 weeks to get my lab results back while I suffered unnecessarily in pain. Left voicemails that were unprofessional because she was irritated I didn’t answer. I was at work, I work second shift and didn’t get them when she called at 6:00 pm with the results (after 3 weeks) . Also called the second week and the nurse said the Dr had the results , took her a whole nother week to read them I guess. I will never go back there again.

Negative experience: Saw the doctor two weeks ago. Finally after many calls I received a bottle with 20 pills. I don't see the doctor until December, so how am I to make 20 pills last over 75 days Very upset over number of pills to last over 2 months.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Dr. Fox. He is very attentive and tries to address anything we need in a very timely fashion. Nor only is he a good doctor, he is a very kind man. The rest of it, well, let's just say the attention to phone calls, prescription requests and follow up by staff could use some improvement. They're nice, and I don't know if it's lack of staffing or the staff themselves, but it gets very frustrating to have to make follow up calls when things slip through the cracks.

Negative experience: Lisa of medical records is one IGNORANT KAREN!! Learn your position or they need to hire someone who does!

Positive experience: Doctors are basically good but the receptionists and the nurse assistants need more professional training, as hardly to see smiles on their faces, both expression and language are cold, looks like they have no enthusiasm for work

Fantastic experience: Wonderful Dr., great Staff. Dr. Fox is very knowledgeable. A few months ago he gave me a shot in my knee. Both of my knees are bone on bone, and my heart problem won’t allow me to have knee replacement. I have been to an Ortho Dr. who is a Sports Medicine Specialist. One of the best Ortho Doctors in Arkansas. A couple of times he gave me a shot in my knee. It did not help, and actually made it worse. The shot Dr. Fox gave me made my knee so much better and the effect lasted for over 2 months. Needless to say I was very pleased.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Webb for many years. She always listens and finds a solution. She is so kind and helpful with everything I have had. She always follows up on all the tests I’ve had. She is a very good doctor and I really trust her.

Healthy Connections send text messages regarding the appointments coming up with date and time. Jennifer is especially knowledgeable and takes care of business with her welcomed smile! Negative experience: Dr Webb was very rude and did not listen to a word I said. This resulted in me going to the exact same type of specialists I have previously been to for this issue rather than continuing from where I left off. Also it took more than 7 days to reach someone concerning my medication refills resulting in me being without my heart and BP meds for 3 days. My BP got up to 210/160 and it is very dangerous to stop them cold turkey as well. I do not feel she or the clinic is very competent or caring. They hand out surveys and ask you to complete it about your visit prior to your visit. That's just not accurate. How does one know how the visit went prior to the visit. No thanks I have found another PCP

Positive experience: Made an appointment because they wouldn't refill my prescription because I haven't been there in 6 months. Had to ask for lab to be drawn, still haven't received a call letting me know what they are. Usually have good experience but disappointed this time

Fantastic experience: The only doctor that listened to our concerns about my two-year-old. Dr. Webb got the referral in to get him evaluated for autism and got him into physical speech and occupational therapy all within a MONTH. Dr. Sherilyn Webb is an amazing doctor and so is her husband Dr. Eric Webb, who has been my physician for as long as I can remember!

Negative experience: My doctor is great. But you continually have to go in & get your blood results. Or it will take 2 months for a call to tell you about the results. And to get a refill of a prescription or to get a call back from their office is nill!
