Fantastic experience: First visit has been nothing less than amazing. The staff is informative and welcoming. Will refer anyone I know.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff! And the doctor was great she told me everything she was about to do and what was next. Today I had a 2 week revisit to make sure everything was healing and it was! Great experience ! Today was my last visit and it was great! My dentist was amazing I had tears in my eyes as I left! But I promised I'd see her again !

Negative experience: I went in to have an extraction. I do not have dental insurance. They tried to bully me into having a root canal, build up and crown for over $3,500. My husband is having major surgery next week. I said I can't afford that so pull it. Then they said we want to get medical clearance to extract. I finally got up and LEFT!!

Fantastic experience: Listen both the dentist and Jennifer are amazing. Went back today and my son is highly afraid of needles. Jennifer held my big baby’s hand and came back to check on him while the dentist, she was amazing and just joked with him while working away!!! Definitely another great experience!!!

Fantastic experience: My son had some pretty extensive damage and the staff at Smiley Star was so patient and understanding. They worked around his busy schedule and were so kind and accommodating.

Positive experience: It was a wonderful experience I always get a little nervous hitting that back nerve sometimes could be painful she made it extremely easy and once I was acclimated she made me feel extremely assured I can tell she's a very experienced and highly knowledgeable dentist I'll be back for a full scope I have confidence still resolve all my issues great atmosphere very family orientated overall it's a better deal you get extra care for the same price.

Fantastic experience: I have had dentures since I was in early 20’s. I’ve had three sets made during that time. This was my first time using Star Dental and I have to say that they surpassed my expectations by a long shot. The Dentist worked with me until I was happy about the look and placement of my teeth. She has went way above and beyond for me. I will never use another Dentist. Thank you so much Star Dental ♥️

Fantastic experience: For a dentist visit, it was quite pleasant. But the wait was longer than expected..cCconsidering that, the staff and Dr Chau were very courteous and professional, the wait room was neat and clean.

Let you know what your insurance would cover and not cover and gave you the opportunity to get the services that you needed and that was right for you. I gave her a 10 stars. She was great and a great sense of humor. Thank you, Doc. I would also like to give a shout out to the staff and the receptionist upfront. She was really great.

Positive experience: The staff is nice. Jennifer at the front desk is informative and friendly. They’ve squeezed me in to make an appt available for me. Ms. Hensley is fabulous, caring and has a great personality. I’m not sure if the other Jennifer is a tech or hygienist, but she knows what she’s doing and is gentle, patient and sweet. They’re all easy and comfortable to talk to and all seem to care. I prefer all of the staff to the dentist, but she herself is fine, just doesn’t have as good “bedside manners” as her staff and she always seems rushed. Although since each person represents a significant amount of money I suppose it makes sense. That’s all healthcare’s about anyway.

Fantastic experience: Smiley Star Dental in Paris Texas is the best place to see a dentist. My experiences have been nothing but wonderful. Both Dr. Nguyen's a and their staff are great. They've done what other dentist's said couldn't be done for me because of my small mouth With them it really is a Nguyen Nguyen situation.Thank you

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed the whole staff. I was nervous on a small procedure and they were so comforting. It went really well (felt a little embarrassed) but I also got fitted for partials. It was very reasonable price.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst dentist I have ever been to. Saw her for the first time in December and did not get teeth cleaned. She Said April as next visit, and I ended up walking out without a cleaning or exam due to her, not listening to what I was saying. My insurance covers two cleanings a year, bitewings once a year in a panoramic which she did in December 2025. She wanted today to do another x-ray and exam without cleaning my teeth. I will be reporting her to the Dental board as well as to my insurance. To investigate her practice. I do not recommend anyone go to her. Another reason I would not recommend them is that their staff is rude and hardly ever answer the phone. I have had to wait 2 days for a call back. This business is very unprofessional. They do not explain what they are doing. As I have already stated, I would not recommend them at all.

Negative experience: Very disappointing went in do to pain of the teeth the va had scheduled this exam for me the initial vist was great very friendly. Was informed I needed root canal and crown. The va approved the root canal they scheduled the root canal roughly 3 weeks after the initial visit so I thought all was good I was then informed the day before my scheduled root canal that they need a different approval for the crowns. So less than 24hrs notice they canceled my appointment and wanted to wait until the 29th for the next root canal. They could have done the root canal put the temporary crown on until the approval for the actual crown but no they canceled so now I will have to wake another month in pain because they wanted to wait until the day before to tell me they needed a different approval as well

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience for the 2nd time going there, I will be back for to get my gold crown on my tooth , hopefully I can get some crowns for my front teeth that has hair line cracks across them!, 10/28/25 well I had my gold crown put in and it look damn good I must say also my dentist she is very funny (Dr. Nyguen) and the staff is very polite and nice, I recommend this dentistry to my fellow and Sister veterans....3/26/26 was a great day to go to Smiley Star once again a perfect job well done, thanks to all the Beatiful staff & Dr. Nyguen.

Fantastic experience: This is hands down the best dentist I've had so far! She is attentive and always make sure to ask if you are hurting. She even offered me pain meds during a procedure when at first I said I didn't need them but she could just tell I was struggling. The staff is nice too and I've always been able to get appointments quickly! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: DO NOT Recommend!!!! A total waste of time!!! .. been over THREE MONTHS and this dentist office has yet to send all the necessary documents to my insurance, even after my insurance company has contacted, faxed, emailed, left messages because no one will answer the phone!!! NO kind of response from this dentist whatsoever!!! Plus, the only person I've ever been allowed to talk to is the (kid) receptionist, who always argues with me!!!

Negative experience: Another dentist had to redo 4 of my family’s fillings because they were not done correctly and still had decay! The dentist is rude. The front desk manager is very nice. They do get you in quickly for emergencies and accept most all insurance.

Negative experience: tried to remove wisdom teeth without anesthesia cancelled the appointment the day of and went to an ACTUAL oral surgeon and the surgeon was shocked hearing the plan this joke of a business had for extracting my impacted wisdom teeth. RED FLAG DO NOT GO HERE.

Fantastic experience: I am very very satisfied with the dentist there, they worked on my daughter whom is a special needs adult & they made her feel relaxed & did an awesome job on her, the staff there are very friendly & helpful where I finally found a way for my daughter to get the help she needed financially. A big shout out to the oral surgeon & Avery the assistant, she is awesome. I recommend anyone to go & see what I mean. Excellent Doctors & staff.

Negative experience: Although the staff was nice, the receptionist didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing. pulled up my insurance to show me that I didn’t have anything even though I told her I checked and it said I did. I appreciated her, trying to show me, I get it. I paid the fee for The visit sat down and waited. The dental technician called me back. She was also nice but again seems kind of confused like they really didn’t know a lot about what they were doing I mean, granted I’m not a technician so I don’t know fully but I’ve been to the dentist plenty in my lifetime ( 4 years or braces) I did not feel very comfortable everything was dirty. The seats were dirty. The floor were dirty. They did have the actual utensils they use sealed but I feel it was still just a very dirty Office there was things everywhere, personal affect I mean, just looking at the floor look like it hadn’t been mopped in probably a year. The dentist herself again nice and I had incorrectly corrected her about the glove she had. I didn’t see the part where it says not made with natural latex rubber. But I don’t think I’ll be going back. I’d rather drive further for a better and cleaner environment.

Fantastic experience: This dentist is by far the most understanding. I live a hectic life between kids, school, and living an hour away. My insurance is a struggle, and let's be honest, so am I. The office ladies reschedule and understand without attitude, they get it. I have severe anxiety about the dentist, and my teeth show it. However, this dentist listened, comforted, and fixed my problems with ease. I highly highly recommend this facility, and also recommend seeing a dentist. I feel much better doing so.

Fantastic experience: Haven’t had anything done as of yet, but the first appointment went well and I feel very comfortable with them helping me. Years ago when I first went for help there were some concerns and I never returned. I am blessed to have TWC Vocational department helping me get fixed up. I was not sure about going back to smiley star, but I’m very happy I did because it’s awesome there now and I’m happy to receive their help.

Negative experience: Disappointing . The doctor threw a fit at the staff, she acted very unprofessional and out of line. We all have bad days but you don't throw a fit in your office and just complain the WHOLE time especially in front of your clients. But other than that the staff are wonderful. Love the girls.

Negative experience: Have a tooth hurting a week now, went in today to have it removed and ended up having to leave with the tooth still hurting. If they don't like your attitude they will just stop what they are doing and leave the room. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Fantastic experience: It was nice because Amanda the lady that was at the front desk she she talked to me and said it was okay to stay for an appointment to get the prescription I did and got to meet the new dentist when w e n, and the staff and I was treated nice and fair in and out with no problem got it solved and have to go back and what a delight to be around some wonderful women like that all nationalities always nice and a very courteous and nice thank you for staff like that thumbs up thank you Addie Amanda and other ladies and the staff all make one and a doctor included thank you for the encouragement as a believer in Christ Jesus I was comfortable there thank you happy Resurrection season continuously not just this week over 2,000 years ago he rose we represent him continuously as he be there for us continuously in Jesus name thank you Jesus for a great staff to the homeless healing the founder of this business thank you

Negative experience: Well I'm sad to report that i have lost my bottom denture. Ive hoped to find but haven't. I couldn't wear the bottom. To much hurt. So i didn't but yhe tod atr close to best. The bottom off into trash and throwed away. I went in5o dumpster 4 times to find. Dumpster truck came and now lone hone. Next January 2036 i will atte⁷

Negative experience: I went in thinking I was going to get what I wanted done and I left without getting my teeth pulled . They instead decided to grind on my teeth for caps. I don't want caps. I want all my teeth pulled in order to get dentures. Not at all satisfied. I won't go back and I'll tell people not to go there also

Negative experience: The people were nice but the place was very dirty it looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks . To be in a place were you have to open your mouth aand there's stuff all over the floor makes me not want to go back.

Negative experience: Worst Dentist office in Paris. They are rude and make you feel horrible about yourself. They have got the worst bedside manner. Over heard them telling another patients business all over the office. It was the worst experience ever. 10/10 don’t recommend

Negative experience: Went to Smiley Star about a year ago, I came for a dental check up. The Dr was rude and unprofessional. After checking my teeth, he said it’s lazy to only brush your teeth 1 time a day, and got very angry when I told him I couldn’t afford braces for my bottom teeth that he said were crowded. I have never heard this from another Dr. Overall this place is very inconsistent and I do not recommend going here even if it takes insurance.

Negative experience: Disappointing . I've been waiting for a while to get the dentures and I'm still waiting . I was there for almost 2 hours. the doctor threw a fit because she was tired and there was wires in the wax and she couldn't mold them correctly witch I understand that but the way she acted was unprofessional and kinda out of line. We all have bad days but you don't throw a fit in your office and walk out on a patient weither it's a cash paying patient or Medicaid recipient. Anyways I've been waiting for months to get them done. Since last June 2024. Iwas approved made the appointment and finally this yr. 2025 everything has finally getting started and I'm still waiting just ready for a smile again. But other than that the staff are wonderful. Love the girls.

Negative experience: I’m really not sure what to say. I was advised of many issues I had that have not been brought to my attention before. I was billed for a cleaning I didn’t receive, and I sat in the chair in the back for an hour before I was seen….I had to watch an entire hallmark Christmas movie while sitting in that chair. I will say everyone is really nice, just have some room for improvement related to the actual service. Maybe next time will be different Update March 2025- I went to a different dentist who advised me none of those issues were present. I think I’ll pass on this place moving forward.
