Fantastic experience: Everyone at Mars Dental is so kind and caring and patient with my daughter. She has a terrible fear of the dentist, but they always put her at ease. We love Dr. Jenn!

Fantastic experience: Every employee from the front desk to the dentist was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. They each went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodated. The dental hygienist, Danielle, who worked with us was excellent with children; she was thorough and explained everything to us. My kids were immediately asking if they would get to have her next time and are still talking this evening about how well they liked her. She truly was the best!! Terrific visit all around. Very excited about our new pediatric dentist office!

Fantastic experience: We switched to this dentist office after some unfavorable experiences at another pediatric dental office. Night and day experience. The dental hygienist was amazing. So kind and patient. My son actually sat in the chair and let them look at his teeth. He had the best experience! I will be telling everyone I know what an amazing practice this is! Fantastic experience: They are so polite and caring and listen to any concerns that you may have for your child/children. Fast and efficient will explain anything to you that you made have any questions about. My daughter had a very bad experience with another dentist and I decided to bring her here and it was by far the best choice!

Negative experience: They are very nice there, but most places that deal with children are. They bill a bit excessive and definitely draw out procedures to be able to charge more. If your child has more than 1-2 cavities they will make you come for seperate appointments which then they charge the laughing gas fee each time of over $100. Their charges for a regular cleaning are way higher than other places in cranberry.

Fantastic experience: My son needed some dental work done and from the first step of scheduling, the staff was great! Very informative of the entire process, getting paperwork filled out and so helpful! In the office, all staff were kind to my son and he had a great experience throughout his whole exam! I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a fun environment to distract your child from "being at the dentist." :) Thank you!

We will be so sad to leave Dr. Jenn. Her and her staff are amazing and we are thankful for the care, and peraonal attention, she's provided us over the years

Fantastic experience: My young daughter had a cracked tooth/ cavity that quickly became a problem today, during a massive snow storm. The office and Dr. Jennifer got us in within the hour, patiently understanding our tardiness in the state the roads/weather. Janna was really cool and great with my daughter- she explained our treatment options thoroughly and in terms I could understand. They not only evaluated my daughter, but fixed the issue the same day. The Dental Assistant (I forget her name!) made my daughter laugh and feel calm and comfortable during her first dental procedure. Doctor Jennifer was very sweet and made everything she was doing sound fun and exciting, not scary or intimidating. All of the staff members are excellent with small children, creating a calming and happy environment, in a place that can be scary for kids. Everyone was wonderful, knowledgeable and exceptional at their jobs. I HIGHLY recommend taking your children to Mars Pediatric Dental!

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience my 4 yr old would not even sit in the chair at my dentist. Mars dental is a warm welcoming very kid friendly atmosphere. The appointment was very quick the way they approached my daughter she felt like a rockstar. They were not pushy about anything gave me time to think and explained everything very well.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Mars Dental Specialists by my son’s OT for a second opinion regarding my son’s frenectomy. This location got my son in quickly for a consult for his tongue-tie, and was able to complete the revision on the same day. Dr. Pacella was kind, caring, patient, and communicated everything thoroughly. As a first time mom to an 8 month old, I appreciated her bedside manner more than I can express. The peace of mind knowing my son was in good hands for such his first medical procedure was priceless. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness and the care we received! I highly recommend Mars Dental Specialists!

Janna was AMAZING with her and they are so understanding and patient with all little ones! Had my 2 yr old there as well and I can’t believe how calm and understanding the hygienist was with her. Walked us through everything and was so easy going. She made it so fun and happy for them!

Negative experience: The receptionist and hygienist were amazing. Dr. Jen left a lot to be desired. We won't be going back. For anyone looking for a lip tie to be lasered, parents aren't allowed in the room while it's taking place. A policy is a policy but the faces made when I asked for the reasoning were uncalled for. Definitely won't hand my baby over to her and leave the room.

Fantastic experience: This is great kids dentistry. I have a neurodiverse child and a neurotypical child. I was told by other dentists my neurodivergent child would have to be sedated for cleanings. I didn't want this for him. The staff at this office worked with him the way he was comfortable and least scared. Sometimes sitting sometimes even standing if there were setbacks. They are able to get cleanings, x-rays, and fluoride without sedation. This office is wonderfully professional and caring. This should be your dentist office!

Fantastic experience: Such a nice office! It was the first time going to the dentist for my son and daughter! Upon arrival, Jana greeted us with a big smile! Bonnie, our hygienist, was so sweet! She was so kind with my son and made his first appointment a complete success! And Dr. Jen added the finishing touches to a great time! She was very personable and attentive! Even though my daughter (age 3) wasn’t quiet cooperative to sit to the chair, Bonnie and Dr. Jen were so understanding and patient! Together they successfully completed an exam! The entire office is thorough, compassionate and kind! Highly recommended!

From the moment I scheduled her appointment, it was clear that they are dedicated to helping kids and genuinely care about their patients. They were incredibly accommodating and kind, making sure my daughter was comfortable throughout the entire process. The staff went above and beyond to create a soothing environment, which made a world of difference for us. My daughter needs to undergo a procedure that requires general anesthesia, which naturally makes me nervous. However, the team at Mars Dental Specialists explained the procedure in detail and reassured me every step of the way. Their professionalism and empathy have given me confidence that my daughter is in excellent hands. If you have a child, especially one with special needs, I cannot recommend Mars Dental Specialists enough. Thank you, Mars Dental Specialists, for your outstanding care and support!

Fantastic experience: My daughter needed some cavities filled. We had been to other places that were pedantic dentists but did not come off as that. I would recommend Mars Dental over and over again. It was the first time my daughter came home excited after a dentist appointment.

Fantastic experience: I took my 3 year old for his first dental appointment today and the experience was wonderful! They explained everything they were going to do at his level and were quick and thorough. He came home and told his dad “ I got a prize at the dentist but they told me I have to get rid of my binky soon” haha!

Negative experience: I used to love this dentist office but they obviously have too many clients. It takes forever to be seen and quite frankly it's become a lot less friendlier over the last three years. The receptionist that I spoke to was quite short and unfriendly when I was asked if Dr. Pacella does any alternatives to baby root canals or SMART fillings. She said that Dr. Pacella doesn't do baby root canals- until her coworker interrupted her and said that she does. I asked if she offered any alternatives to SMART fillings and told me quite plainly that she doesn't even know what a SMART filling is. She then said Dr. Pacella's earliest opening for a consultation is September. Last time I went there with my son, Dr. Pacella guilted me about a cavity in son's mouth and made a remark about catching cavities early. The question is, how are we to do so when I have to schedule an appointment 3-6 months in advance to be seen? We've moved on to a different practice. I can no longer recommend Mars Dental Specialists.

Fantastic experience: They were so accommodating and kind I have a 2 and a half year who is non verbal and while he put up a good fight and did not make it easy they were so patient and kind to him. As a mom to a child with non verbal Autism my biggest fear is that people will treat him differently or won’t be so kind/understanding of him. And they were both ❤️ I appreciate them working with him so well!

We are always seen quickly, technicians and dentist always fully communicate with me and talk to my son and show him anything that might be scary before proceeding. They ask his consent and what he wants to watch on the TV. He feels like quite the important little man everytime we visit because he gets to talk to the adults for himself

Negative experience: Horrible. I called months ago to schedule my son’s frenectomy. I asked a million questions as I was uneasy at the time with the decision. I asked about all the options to help my son cooperate through the process. I was told it was a 2 second procedure and no big deal at all and there was no form of medication and they would want to do the procedure the day of consultation. I then said that was fine but I also wanted to schedule an apt later in the week incase I needed to sleep on it after meeting the doctors. In the months between we worked with a myofuntional therapist. Who built confidence in my son and me with this decision. We had a session the week before and my son and her acted out EXACTLY what would happen at his appointment. He was honestly excited. I emailed the dentist office so they now knew I was on the same page for same day treatment. I was then called and told I wasn’t even on the schedule for the procedure either day. I was upset, shocked and confused. I was told someone new had taken my call. I was then informed they had laughing gas (only). And felt a sense of relief that there was at least a calming option. The morning of he told my sister “he was going to get his tongue fixed!” I was nervous like a typical mom. We show up and the doctor says she wants to take x rays. Which I said we did not prepare him for the x ray. I heard her say that will be a good way to see if he will cooperate. The nurse then begins attempting to take x rays I continue to say he is in therapy and has an extreme gag reflux. She doesn’t listen and insists on upsetting my son.WE DID NOT ASK OR PLAN FOR X RAYS which I kept stating we did not prepare him. The doctor then said he would need sedated and to get on the schedule for a Wednesday. WHAT A SHOT TO MY GUT. I didn’t know what to say I was speechless. We were all ready for this planned this week specifically. I start trying to explain my confusion and disbelief. I didn’t even know sedation was an option. So I persist we try. At this point I feel fogged and confused. The nurse and doctor are clearly giving each other looks and the nurse keeps ensuring me I am creating fear of the dentist in my son that will last a life time. I wanted to shout at her HE DOESNT THINK HES AT A DENTIST HE KNOWS HE IS HEAR FOR HIS TONGUE. Plus she doesn’t know my son. Who is she to add that to a mother’s head. So again creating more stress for me instead of helping us relax. It was clear the doctor and nurse did not want to follow through with this procedure. They kept knocking me down. Looking back I think my son would have participated better without laughing gas because I never prepared him for that THATS WHAT was upsetting him- but I wasn’t thinking clearly. Then I get the laughing gas on and they numb his tongue and they are not even explaining to me or my son what is happening and want him to bite on gauze- which he has serious oral issues with sensations and they don’t even tell us why he needs to keep it in his mouth. My son was laid back relaxed and she could have done it and let him lay there 5 minutes. The doctor then moved his chair up she said to wait 5 minutes but I think she knew all along she wasn’t performing the procedure. Then moved the chair and knocked the mask off. To which my son panicked and I had given up realizing the doctor was being just plain horrible. I am sick today and angry after months of preparation to what they did to my son. I will let everyone know how there was zero communication and they forced x rays on us. I am disgusted with this practices lack of communication and the way we were treated.

Fantastic experience: This is an important review to write because they deserve to be recognized for how well they treat their child patients (and parents). My son has always received great care for his routine cleanings. He is not scared to go to the dentist as it has been a good experience each time. The colorful, kid friendly atmosphere makes it almost fun! Dr. Pacella had been monitoring a few cavities and said that he would need crowns at his last cleaning appointment. He would need to go under general anesthesia because a four year old is not able to be awake for this type of procedure. I had great anxiety about doing this to him so researched as much as I could and even talked to other professionals. Dr. Pacella understood my concern and took time to talk with me over the phone before the appointment about my hesitancy and questions. It was scary for me to go through with it after weighing all the risks, but I am glad I did. Not only did he bounce back to 100% soon after we got home, Dr. Pacella determined he just needed his cavities filled instead of crowns which was better for his teeth and saved us money. I am so thankful she was concerned most about what was best for my son and his specific situation.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for an OUTSTANDING experience for my children! My youngest wouldn't even open her mouth for our last dentist and due to the fun atmosphere and kind hearted staff, she finally had her teeth cleaned properly and now is excited to come back! Thank you!

Positive experience: All of the staff at MDS are amazing. The explanations for my son's future treatments were thorough ,HOWEVER, he cannot receive his future treatments (cavity filling) for over 5 months!!! How does that make sense? His cavity is small and he is not in pain right now but it seems crazy to me that we cannot get this taken care of sooner. Also, I will have to take off work because they had such limited times available. Seems as though they have too many patients to service in a timely and convenient manner.
