Negative experience: Do you and your kid a favor and stay far away from a place where the doctor has been doing this for WAY too long. Impatient, can’t be bothered to spend a little extra time because he’s got more dollars to make in the next room. My toddler will be traumatized for the foreseeable future as laughing gas was administered and because he could not calm down in the first 10 minutes the doctor decided it was best to reschedule and refer to hospital for general anesthesia through IV for a SMALL filling on his back tooth. Mind you at this point my son had the mask on and was completely calm. But because our appointment was 8:30 and it was now 8:43, he couldn’t be bothered to even attempt it. A waste of my time and unfortunate that my three year old got pumped of nitrous just for another consultation essentially.

Taking a 2-year-old busy boy to the dentist can feel incredibly daunting, but the entire team here made it an absolute breeze. ​From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, bright, and perfectly designed to make kids feel at ease. The staff is remarkably patient, kind, and clearly knows exactly how to handle toddler energy and anxiety. They explained every little step to my son in a playful, gentle way that turned what could have been a scary experience into a fun adventure. ​The dentist was phenomenal—thorough, incredibly warm, and took the time to answer all of my questions without making us feel rushed. My son left with a huge smile on his face (and some great prizes!). If you are looking for a pediatric dentist you can fully trust to provide top-notch, compassionate care. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: My daughter was terrified. We had a dental emergency, and her regular dentist couldn’t see her. Someone referred us to Smile Builders, and they were able to see her the same day. They were absolutely wonderful. I didn’t see a single tear from my daughter. They took the time to talk to her, explain everything, and make her feel comfortable through play and kindness. She is only 4 years old, and today we came back for a regular visit. Once again, no crying, no screaming, no fear at all! I highly recommend them to any parent looking for a caring and patient dental team for their child.

Negative experience: We were happy with this pediatric dentist office a couple years ago, but there is a different dentist there now and we will not go back. The new dentist is not kind or friendly enough to be a good adult dentist, let alone work with children. But the final straw was that he diagnosed cavities that needed to be filled in 3 of my children that were not actually there. Since our family does not have a history of cavities and the hygienist was visibly surprised when the dentist said they had those cavities, I went to the other pediatric dentist in Mint Hill for a second opinion. They did not see any cavities in those children (and were much friendlier with a more inviting office as well). Either that dentist is dishonest or incompetent, and either way I will not entrust my children's care to him.

Negative experience: Absolutely disappointed with this dental office. My mother and little brother were treated very rudely by both the dentist and the back office staff. We specifically requested X-rays because my brother’s school dentist informed us he may have cavities, yet they refused to do them. Their reason was supposedly because of his behavior and because they claimed he was “too young,” even though he is 4 years old and turning 5 next month. The entire experience felt extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of showing patience and compassion toward a young child, the staff made the situation uncomfortable and acted irritated. The back office staff in particular were very rude and lacked professionalism. We left feeling unheard, upset, and disappointed with the level of care provided. Would not recommend this office to families looking for respectful and compassionate treatment.

Fantastic experience: It was one of the best experiences that I’ve had. My three girls were attended at the same time one who suffers with dentist anxiety who refuses to let herself be seen. They made her so comfortable and so calm that she is excited to go back again 10 out of 10 recommend you would absolutely love it here the staff as well as the attendee we’re just so extremely amazing.

Negative experience: The service at the entrance wasn't very good; the staff was rude and somewhat arrogant. The doctor didn't even greet us when he entered the office where my two children were, nor did he introduce himself. Negative experience: We were taking my little girl for dental treatment at this clinic, but unfortunately, we did not receive the PROFESSIONAL treatment we were looking for. They were very irresponsible. They made me take my daughter out of school twice for a filling that they supposedly have experts to perform, and my daughter and we ended up wasting our time. They changed the appointment at the last minute and didn't even complete the work properly. First, the so-called doctor who saw her didn't finish the filling correctly, and then she had to see a specialist. The supposed specialist saw her, but they left a crack in her tooth. Because when we arrived, they had changed the appointment, and their staff had already left, so they didn't see my daughter. It was very unfortunate, and it's not the first time they've done this. I had to cancel all of my daughter's treatment and go to another clinic where the people are truly SERIOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC. PARENTS, OPEN YOUR EYES BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS. VERY BAD SERVICE.

Dr Devin made the visit for my little one so easy, calmed her with a lullaby while doing a toothbrush cleaning. Checking in and out was super smooth. This office is very nice.
