Negative experience: If there was negative stars Aspen would get that from me. I go in with the worst toothache ever. They did get me in quickly. All they was worried about was selling me a partial rather than issue that was causing me pain. Then said I had to schedule the extraction and that would cost me $250 with my insurance. I go somewhere else one week later that got it removed same day for $50 with my insurance. Aspen is nothing but a bunch of salesman. Worst place EVER

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would! I called over the phone to make an appointment and verify my insurance which the lady did. I waited for the day of my appointment and drove over an hour for them to do xrays then stop and tell me they wouldn't accept my insurance! They offered 30% off out of pocket pay haha how kind.

Fantastic experience: I was very satisfied with my care. Very knowledgeable, great doctors, great technicians and staff. It’s a one stop for all your dental needs. Emily is awesome. It’s a pleasure to see her smiling face when I come through the door. Jaden is so darn sweet. She’s a keeper.

Fantastic experience: I will be the first to say I am terrified of the dentist! I tried to go in with an open mind and yes, I had a few tears, not one person held that against me! They were all professional and courteous to all especially me!! This was my first appointment for many years because of my fear! They examined and made a game plan for me! I am doing a before picture of my smile, yes, I don’t show my teeth! If you need a dentist, absolutely go to Aspen Dental in Pikeville, Ky!

Negative experience: I've drove 2 there and 2 hours back several times getting a top denture made and today I picked up my top denture I told them I was very unhappy with them. Total I have paid $528 for this and one side of my denture looks like it's bulking out or warped and I've mentioned it before when I was still doing wax try ins and it's still the same on the permanent one a woman took them back to make an adjustment and just brought them back to me worse than they already were. I'm so embarrassed to wear these even tho I can't right now anyway because they just fall straight out of my mouth. I'm upset and and just praying I'm not stuck with these. I'm low income and this has been an absolute frustration to me in many ways. When I mentioned that they look awful the dentist suggests that it's "just me" but when I look in the mirror and feel like crying while wearing them that's a problem and I know it can be done better.

Positive experience: I arrived and was greeted promptly. I finished filling out paperwork and a tech called me back. She explained that she was going to take some images for x-rays. She was very kind and gentle in this procedure. Then I was taken back to an exam room where another tech took a look at my gums. Soon the young dentist came in and discussed my options for a new denture. Again, all kind and professional. Now it was time for me to go to the finance office where the woman there explained the different costs and how this is an investment. At this point, I felt like I was at a used car dealership. Even with my insurance, it is a lot of money. But I feel I still need to weigh this out.

Positive experience: Didn’t have to wait long to see a doctor. They explained everything about each treatment I may need. I left knowing what to expect throughout my treatment.

Negative experience: Sadly, this is my second set of “temporary partials”; the first ones looked like baby teeth. Now this one is two different sizes. These are my two front teeth, so no big smiles in my future. The dentist led me to believe that this set was temporary and that the permanent partial would come from a different lab, since neither partial was correct. He also informed me that the permanent would not contain the wires that have left sores in my mouth. Upon calling the office since i hadn't heard from them in forever, I was then informed that I would be charged $2500 for a cap on a jaw tooth and the permanent partial. So i paid $1200 for two incorrect partials and extracting my front teeth that were veneers. I would recommend finding another place to have your dental work done. No one discussed additional charges with me on the first or second visit. The Aspen Dental Staff led me to believe that I would wear the temporary for 6 months and then receive the permanent partial.

Negative experience: The time it took from start to finish was roughly 2 months. The first two days of wearing the dentures my face a jaw was so sore I had to resort to my old pair. I went in for an adjustment that helped at the time but was no where near where they should be. I cant really describe where it hurts because my mouth is so sore. Insurance will only replace dentures every 5 years and only pay half at best. All of the staff was nice and tried but now I'm stuck working on these daily, trying to keep them from hurting.

Positive experience: Pros Good dentist. Cons It’s very corporate style, don’t be surprised if you feel like they just want your money. At the end of the day that’s what the employer wants the employees to do. I like seeing staff members that like the jobs they have. Overall? I got what I needed. If you need them they are there. It’s very straightforward, pay me and I will help you. Some people prefer this style while others like a more personable experience. Think about it this way. Family dentistry - Human, warm, flexible. Corporate dentistry - Policy-driven, efficient, less flexible.

Negative experience: If I could leave zero stars, I would. The staff was nice, so I’m giving one star for that. I have dental insurance through Delta Dental, which I was told was one of the better dental plans. I went in as a walk-in after calling ahead and being told they could help. I had broken my main back tooth and needed it pulled or filled I didn’t care which at that point. They did X-rays and spoke with the hygienist, who then tried to sell me a “special” toothbrush something I could easily get online for much less. That was my first red flag. Next, I spoke with the dentist, who did not fix my tooth at all. Instead, they tried to charge me an outrageous amount of money. They claimed I needed crowns and other procedures that would have exceeded $16,000 and pushed me into a payment plan. They eventually lowered it to $13,000. Keep in mind, I have insurance so were they planning to bill my insurance and me? That was my second red flag. By this point, I was extremely frustrated and walked out. I found another dentist who was able to fix my tooth on the first visit. With X-rays and treatment, I was charged only $86, which was amazing especially since they fit me in last minute. That dentist also confirmed I didn’t need any of the expensive procedures Aspen Dental was trying to push. It’s clear to me that Aspen Dental is focused on profit rather than patient care. I understand that dental work can be expensive, but charging $13,000–$16,000 for something that is simple and fixable is unacceptable. Aspen Dental, please do not respond to this review nothing you say will change my experience. Do better, and focus on honesty and patient care rather than trying to maximize profit.

Fantastic experience: Claire met me at the door of the waiting room with a smile and fantastic attitude. She stayed with me the whole time and kept me calm and smiling. The whole office is wonderful but Claire went the extra mile today.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and friendly staff. Only recommendation is that the exam rooms need painting. The painting coming off some window ceils make it look run down.

Positive experience: I have a severe toothache pain and before even coming in, I called to see if I could come in and get looked at for the day. They said that they were not sure, but to come in quick. I get there and see on their building “walk-ins welcome.” I also see “emergency? come on in.” Or something like that, so I felt pleased and I thought I could potentially see someone. I go in, give the receptionist my info, and then she talks to whomever to see if they can do something for me. She came back and said, “sorry, we won’t be able to see you today.” I was so unhappy because I could have turned myself back home when I originally called. That conversation could have happened earlier when I called first thing in the morning.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with them (Pikeville KY). It was my first time going to them and my experience was awesome. Everyone was super sweet and caring. The bed side manners was amazing. There wasn't a bad experience. It was all good and I was embarrassed of my teeth but they made me feel comfortable and like my teeth was worth a million dollars lol. I'm glad I chose them to help me get my smile back :) thank you to everyone that was working yesterday (11/26/2025).

Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying I’ve came here for years. I do not have lots of money or insurance but they always treat me amazing and do everything they can to help me. I started my journey with a partial years ago and now I’m getting dentures and they have been amazing every step of the way. My temporary partial lasted me years before I went and bought my permanent one. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere! I have terrible anxiety but I feel right at home here

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. Considering it's a dentists office where no one really enjoys going that says a lot. I was treated with the upmost respect. Not gonna lie I was ashamed of my mouth but they never made me feel shame. Not 1 time did I feel uncomfortable at all. Staff is super polite and the dentists and tech took VERY good care of me. I cannot say enough good stuff about them. Thank you ALL so much for taking such good care of me and not making feel ashamed to be there.

Negative experience: Spent 2.5 hrs there and still had not seen a dentist. Also was freezing cold in the office. Too many x-rays! You have to spend hours there just to try and get.your teeth cleaned at another time.

Negative experience: One of my family members got implant. Back in May she has called several times because her implant is lose and she is in a lot of pain. But they want give her a close date it’s always 2 to 3 months later. I visited Aspen in Richmond they wanted me to pay 8000:00 for dentures. I didn’t recommend them then and I don’t recommend them now. My advice would be find someone else.

Negative experience: My friend (female) went with me (I'm female) to my appointment and the staff (Dentist included) treated us as if we were a couple. Not appreciated!!! When talking to your patient, talk to the patient! Lack of information on the Doctor's part. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. This was a horrible experience. Initially wanted dentures, hygienist gave me options. No complaints on her. Dentist needs to research bed side manners. $20 to be insulted... I won't be going back, thanks for asking me to do a survey.

Negative experience: I had a front tool chip completely off, couldn’t eat on it, they told me i had to get X-rays and they couldn’t get me in, although it was an emergency. This is the second time this has happened: they are not helpful and they don’t care if you’re in pain or not

Negative experience: Price was out of sight. That why I guess they don't list it. Only the cheapest. And if you have insurance it even more, I was told after they knew i had it i had to use it, couldn't pay out for pocket and turn it in to my insurance myself. So I'll be looking somewhere else...

Negative experience: Called ahead to get an appointment and asked about 4 times on the phone if they take my insurance and they said yes. Went to my appointment that is a 45 min drive away from my home and handed my insurance card to them and they told me they didn't take my insurance . Receptionist said " Oh you must have talked to someone at our call center." Big waste of time and gas.

Negative experience: Confirmed appointment by both text and email that was sent directly by Aspen. Drove over an hour and took a day off of work for my appointment only to be told that because they didn't speak to me over the phone on the day before, (regardless of two other confirmations), my appointment was canceled. Do better Aspen! Either quit offering text and email confirmations or include that you must call in those messages. I waited for this appointment for over 2 months at the Pikeville, KY location. I will definitely not be using Aspen again.

Fantastic experience: It was for my husband’s dentures. Good price on dentures, excellent services during. But trying to get follow up visit bc dentures isn’t fitting properly wasn’t good. Took weeels.

Negative experience: I have been struggling with my teeth for years now, and I asked for a consultation to get dentures. I understand that they try to preserve your teeth, but I feel like if someone if adamant about having a cosmetic procedure done, they should allow it. They then continue to tell me that I can have implants and crowns after I specifically said I was not looking for that. They showed me the price for that procedure and it was almost $40,000. No thank you, I just wanted my voice to be heard considering I have always been insecure about this issue. I had high hopes about this place. The entire staff was wonderful, but I ultimately felt like I was not listened to.
