Fantastic experience: Shedd Family Dentistry is fantastic. While they are our dentist for regular cleanings, we've also used them for an emergency tooth issue and Invisalign. The care is great is all areas. We searched for 3 years after moving to Huntsville for a dentist who was taking new patients and we liked, a hard to find combo in this area. The search was worth it to find Shedd!

Fantastic experience: I always get Amazing service when I visit Dr. Shedd’s office his whole team of staff is wonderful. It really means a lot when you know they care about you and your needs.

Positive experience: Dr. Shedd is an excellent and personable dentist, and has excellent staff and hygenists (whose names I forget, sorry.) I am always comfortable and I have great confidence in their procedures. They do outstanding work, and they do everything possible to make my visits painless and comfortable. As another reviewer said, it is true that they will come up with a long list of potential work to be done, But Dr. Shedd is very cooperative and patient when I simply say I don't want that work done yet. Other reviewers cite that it is difficult to get in to see them, sometimes for months, and I agree. Google says they are open 3.5 days per week, and I have noticed that on holiday periods they take long vacations. But the main reason I can't give them 5 stars because they recently announced they were no longer "in network" for Blue Cross Blue Shield (my insurance.)

Fantastic experience: Very customer focused. Dr Shedd took a very generous amount of his time to speak with me about any concerns I might have and did a thorough exam. Jessica did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth and was very focused on my overall experience.

Fantastic experience: Although I was not due for a dental check-up, I happened to have a dental emergency. I called my dentist, the Shedd Family Dentistry, and after the office gathered information about my emergency, the office staff quickly made an impromptu appointment for me to come in as soon as possible. The receptionist warmly welcomed me, and I was taken to be examined in less than 5 minutes. This dental office uses the most up-to-date and patient-friendly equipment I have ever seen. Every single office staff member and dental professional that helped me treated me with interest and warm concern, and yet, at the same time, was incredibly proficient and timely in their skills. The dentist himself was wonderful, and clearly has created this excellent health environment for his patients. I am proud Huntsville has such professionals. The dental office of Dr. Shedd is an amazing combination of total professionalism and complete caring of the patient. I recommend this doctor wholeheartedly.

High quality and professional dental work. When I had a bad tooth he was able to save it. Been having dental work for years and never had a bad experience that's why I keep going back.

Fantastic experience: First time patient here! It's been at least 20 years since I've seen a dentist due to me being absolutely terrified of going. Well, I chalked up enough nerve to go in and get a consultation on work that I know that I need to have down. Let me tell you, Jessica the dental hygienist was so friendly and patient with me. I have severe anxiety when going to the dentist. She made me feel so comfortable being there. When I met Dr. Shedd he was so welcoming and down to earth. We went over my treatment plan, and I feel confident being under his care. Also, I can't forget the super nice and welcoming front desk receptionist. I don't remember her name, but she was sooo pleasant to speak with as well. She was even able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. If you are looking for a dental office that really cares about their patients, look no further and go to them.

Fantastic experience: Have been going here for 4 or 5 years and Dr Shedd is great! I previously went to a dentist that found multiple problems every time I went. I go to the dentist regularly and don't have a lot of dental problems..... Hence, I swapped to Dr Shedd. All my problems have gone away amazingly! And he has fixed multiple problems from the other dentist. My only complaint it that the whole time I had the same hygienist (both me and my wife used the same lady) and the last 2 times I have had someone different. The first time I thought maybe my usual person was out. The second time I decided I had been swapped for some reason. Don't do that to your patients. I want my other hygienist back! Did this earlier review over the weekend. Monday morning I had already received a text from Dr Shedd's office. They actually read their reviews! Kudos to them. They contacted me and swapped my next appointment to my old hygienist! They have a patient for life!

Fantastic experience: From the moment we walk into the office, we feel welcomed and at ease, especially my son who isn't a big fan of dental visits. The staff here, especially Jessica, are incredible with children. She has a way of making dental appointments fun and non-intimidating for kids. Dr. Shedd is another gem at this practice; he is very informative and always takes the time to explain what we can expect next for our child's dental care. Negative experience: This dental office is wonderful and really takes the time to make sure you're comfortable. The receptionist is especially patient and knowledgeable. I really appreciate such awesome customer service! I don't see any reason to go elsewhere. Update: I have a temp crown that falls out almost daily.. in the front of my mouth.. the receptionist told me to get a product called Dentemp … but even that doesn’t work for more than a couple hours… so I need an urgent appt to get this fixed but they’re closed for an entire week in the beginning of October?! This is really horrible timing. So I just get to walk around missing a front tooth. Unreal. I would have really appreciated some notice because now I’m just screwed. I have to go interview for a job missing a front tooth. Smh.

I switched to this practice from another one where the service was that I received was below par so I was afraid to go to another dentist but Coming here was like a breath of fresh air. As someone who had/ has a lot of teeth complications I came here very nervous but the dentist, assistants and the receptionists all treated me exceptionally well. They made a plan and helped me reached it and treated my teeth and I feel great. I highly recommend to go here ! They will treat you like family and have the best care for you and your teeth!

I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist chair and she is so comforting and kind during the entire visit, she definitely makes it better for me. Fantastic experience: I called the office on Sunday (with a dental emergency) and left a message hoping that it would be heard first thing Monday morning when they opened. I received a call back on Sunday about 30 minutes later advising me to come in at 830 Monday morning. Jessica (hygienist) was very nice and caring to my issue. She handled my referral to another dentist (for work that Dr Shedd did not handle) and was able to get me in immediately. Dr Shedd was also empathic and helpful to my issue. He told me exactly what the issue was and what needs to happen to resolve the issue. I have total trust and confidence in Dr Shedd with all my dental needs. His entire office staff is very caring, professional and friendly!

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Very friendly staff, and very accommodating. Dr. Shedd was very knowledgeable and thorough, giving me treatment and scheduling options that worked with my schedule. I highly recommend this practice (and as a pediatric dentist, I refer adult patients here whenever I am asked for a good dentist for my patients’ parents).

Fantastic experience: I thought I had broken a tooth, but it proved to be simply a broken filling. (Full disclosure, I spar and grapple several times a week.) Shedd found space for me within their busy schedule the first day, diagnosed me and repaired all in one sitting. This is not the exception, this is the rule at Shedd. (This is not the first time they have seen me after damage to teeth.) Thanks to the entire staff!
