He’s super hands on with your care and making sure you understand what’s happening, and how to best take care of yourself and understanding the role your teeth play in your entire health. Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Dr. Mast and all the wonderful staff, including Aislinn and Kathryn. I leave there with more tools to improve my dental health. Aislinn keeps the office running smooth so Dr. Mast and his registered dental hygienists can be heroes. (7/20/26) Had a dental procedure today that caused a lot of pre-procedure anxiety. Kelly was fabulous as Dr. Mast’s assistant. I highly recommend Laser Dentistry for exceptional, professional care. Dr. Mast and his staff exceed all expectation for a Dental home.

Negative experience: Not a fan. I went there late last year as I was new to the area at the time. In prior experiences with dentists, I have always paid net of what insurance covers. I was forced to pay in full up front for my appointment. They also tried to tell me I had 9 cavities. (I went to my dentist back home 5 months prior and had no cavities). I take good care of my teeth and know I did not develop 9 cavities in 5 months. I never scheduled another appointment after my first one. When I told the receptionist their payment method was not going to work for me, she called me multiple times over a few months to reschedule despite me being upfront about going to see a different dentist. I would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist experience I’ve found anywhere would give 10 stars if possible!

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and rude. An already paid for visit had to be rescheduled 2 times due to work schedules changing and their response was NOT okay. They threatened to call CPS, told the father they were questioning the home environment, and made snarky remarks implying that he is a bad father and doesn't put them first. This message was multiple paragraphs long sent via text. This kind of unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and should not be supported. I would not recommend anyone or their families going there unless they would like to be threatened as well as treated subhuman and with nothing but disrespect.

Negative experience: I am incredibly appalled by the blatant unprofessionalism of the staff at this office. My husband brought his daughter in for dental work, and instead of receiving care, he was subjected to rude comments and judgment about his parenting. ​The staff made cruel, uncalled-for assumptions about our living situation without knowing a single thing about our family, that our daughter had just moved in with us, or that we successfully raise four other children. For a medical office to demean a parent and act so horribly is completely unacceptable. We will never bring our family back here, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere if they want to be treated with basic human decency.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mast and his entire staff are fantastic! It is always a pleasure to visit with the entire staff when I have my appointment. Catherine, the hygienist,couldn't be nicer! Ashlyn is always so nice. And Dr Mast always knows his patients by first name and knows your mouth like a map he has read a thousand times. If I could I would give them all a 15 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: I had my first laser facial session with Dr. Mast and Aislinn. Dr. Mast was very gentle, explained the process thoroughly, and provided a demonstration on my hand so I would know what to expect. Aislinn made me feel so comfortable and provided a true spa experience - not what you would expect at the dentist! My face took a few days to recover but the skin care products were very soothing and helpful. I can already appreciate an improvement in my complexion and I’m excited to see how my skin responds after the next treatments.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! Thanks to them I was not only able to get over my fear of the dentist that went well into adulthood, but they helped build my confidence. From going in my first time with cavities on most my teeth to now smiling proudly quite literally, it has been a life changer for me. To top that off, they were able to identify a jaw problem that has been causing pain for the majority of my life, 20 years of 30, that I thought I just had to live with. So thank you so much to all the staff who made it all happen!

Fantastic experience: I feel fortunate to have found Dr Mast to fix years of dentist avoidance. Due to many painful experiences earlier in life I avoided dentist all together. 4 years ago I decided to try a new dentist who uses new techniques. His non invasive techniques and no nonsense approach make going a pleasure. The pain and discomfort of traditional dental work are a thing of the past now that I’ve found Mast Dentistry. After 4 years I am happy to say I have a healthy set of teeth and I have Dr Mast to thank.

Fantastic experience: At my most recent cleaning I was experiencing TMJ pain. The hygienist was very careful in her work and offered to take more frequent breaks to minimize my discomfort. Dr. Mast also offered a variety of suggestions for the pain -- including a simple Trigeminal Nerve release that we did in office (and that I can practice at home), and I am feeling significantly better the next day! I feel heard. Thank you Mast Laser Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: My seven year old daughter hasn’t been able to breathe through her nose for years and snores loudly. Dr. Mast investigated and referred her to an ENT and an Orthodontist. After which he discovered that her nasal pathway was 100% blocked by her Adenoids. After removing her adenoids, she can breathe through her nose, her dark circles under her eyes went away, she has more energy and overall better health thanks to Dr. Mast’s sincere care and knowledge! Also Debbie at Mast Dentistry is the best Dental Hygienist I’ve ever known, she is very knowledgeable and thorough!

Negative experience: Called a few times, then just made an appointment online. They got back to me a few days later and the gal and the front desk (Ashlen?) Was very rude. Kept saying that if I didnt currently have the full payment she was canceling my appointment. I asked her to keep it since it was a week out and I had time to get the full payment together for them. She said if I dont have it and hear back by the following day she would be canceling it. Horrible customer service unfortunately. I decided to cancel just off of how inappropriate she was speaking to me and went to Prickly Pear in helena instead who was amazing to talk to!

I had been expressing concerns to my son’s pediatrician for one full month - after one phone call to Mast I finally felt heard. They listened to my concerns/questions & answered every single one with grace. Fantastic experience: I will fly internationally to have my teeth worked on at Mast Dentistry. After a traumatic dental experience early in life, I came to Dr. Mast with a lot of fear. He was incredibly kind, calm, patient, and respectful, and worked tirelessly to help me learn to trust a dentist again. After twelve years of being a patient of Mast Laser, I cannot recommend them enough! Aislinn, in the front office, is always welcoming and friendly. Cathrine, the hygienist, is personable and gentle with cleanings. One last thing I really respect about this dental office is how they actively engage students from Carroll College and the local high schools as interns and job-shadowers.

Fantastic experience: We got a tongue and lip tie release done on our 6 day old, and I can’t say enough positive things about our experience here. After a long drive we appreciated their family room where we could decompress and change diaper/feed before the appointment, the consultation was straightforward, we felt heard and also comforted by Dr Mast’s experience and knowledge. The procedure was done quickly and with genuine care to make our baby as comfortable as possible. The explanation of after care/ stretches to ensure correct healing was thoroughly explained and easy to replicate on our own. And over all just great friendly service, who are opened minded and understanding. They also got us in last minute which we were very thankful for. Also, if the patient is consulted with (the baby, etc) and does not seem like a good candidate for a procedure they will tell you. They are transparent and make you feel good about whichever decision ends up being made. Very good experience here!

Fantastic experience: This review is a few months overdue, but I wanted to say how amazing our experience was with Mast Laser Dentistry! We drove from Bozeman, and he corrected our baby's tongue and lip ties that very day. And his wife is a lactation consultant, so she helped us with latching very quickly after the treatment! The best part is that our daughter's symptoms were pretty much immediately corrected -- such a relief for us as new parents! I highly recommend Mast Laser Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mast and his wife Aislinn went above and beyond with our son’s tongue and lip tie revisal. As a mom I was very nervous to have it done but they answered every single question we had and provided all the information needed to make an informed decision. Not only professional as one expects, but they get to know you and understand how to work with you for the best dental options needed. My dental health is the best it's been. Most recently, I chipped a front tooth and they got me in the day I called and fixed me right up! I really appreciate the friendly atmosphere, "enjoyable dentistry" and a cup of coffee or better! Just got my teeth cleaned and have to thank the crew at Mast Dentistry for the great job they do. I can definitely recommend them and know you will find the same. Update: I broke a tooth and Mast dentistry got me in right away, got a temporary on in one hour and made it so I could eat and chew without concern with a new crown coming in a couple of weeks. Dave was friendly and purposeful with xrays and explained all that was being done. Dr. Mast was thorough, took plenty of time to listen and considered my health history when diagnosing my condition. Fantastic experience: We were referred to Dr Mast from our lactation specialist for our sons lip/tongue tie. We drove from Bozeman because in addition to the referral, many people told us he was the best in the state. And they were definitely right. We felt so taken care of & cared for. We had our own private room to nurse & take care of our baby. Dr. Mast’s assistant/lactation specialist was so helpful and addressed all our concerns. Dr mast was so kind & polite. The procedure took no longer than 5 minutes. They went in depth on taking care of the areas that needed to be stretched & taken care of. We left feeling confident in our decision to have this done & confident in our abilities to care for our baby.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Mast is so kind and hospitable - they even offer beverages while you wait. They use a laser thingy that helps with dental/gum issues and doesn’t hurt at all. I can even get my husband, who hates the dentist, to go here. Alas, no cats on premises… though the dentist is perhaps one of the few places where that is actually a good thing.

Fantastic experience: Mast dentistry is a great place to come and get done what you may have(like myself) put off until you can no longer put it off. Who likes to go to the dentist anyway, no one really. But the relief and help you will get there is totally worth it. Dr.Mast makes sure you are comfortable when he is working and he is quick to stop and help you if he senses any discomfort or even anxiousness. It is the kindest dentist I've ever been to. Now many months later. My teeth are no longer an issue for me daily like they were.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mast is a fantastic educator and a calm, compassionate professional. My 10 year old had to have their tongue released. Despite the lack of pain inflicted and our attempts to mentally prepare our child, they screamed thru most of the procedure. Dr. Mast was patient and gave the space we needed to talk our child down from their panic. The procedure was a success and we are grateful for the team for their grace and kindness in an uncomfortable situation.

Fantastic experience: We had our 6 week old baby’s tongue and lip tie released at Mast. Both Dr. Mast and Ashlyn were very nice and explained everything before the procedure and after. Ashlyn helped with latch and positioning. Their facility is accommodating for mom and baby. I will be recommending them in the future.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mast and his wife were the team I needed when I was looking for someone to help my baby with his tongue and lip tie, and me with helping my baby latch. I couldn't get a pediatrician to listen to my concerns, but when I called and spose with Aislinn and let her know what issues we were having, she knew right away that they could help me. Not only that, but she heard the fear in my voice and got me in right away with them. I didn't even think twice about having to travel to Helena. When I arrived, I spent time with Aislinn - she watched how my baby latched, actually examined his mouth, and reassured me that they could help us. Dr. Mast spent a lot of time asking us questions and going over the procedure and benefits. I felt extremely comfortable with them both. After the procedure, they immediately brought my baby to me to sooth him with feeding, and Aislinn was again by my side helping me with BF tips and exercises for my baby. I can't express the gratitude I felt towards them after being so fearful. Thank you Mast Laser Dentistry for making me not feel like I was overreacting and helping my baby's oral development!

Both Dr Mast and Aislinn ensured a well-cared-for experience during our daughters infant tongue tie release. They took time to demonstrate and assist us with therapy stretches and lactation consult, answering all the questions we had, which all contributed to a positive overall experience.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 5 week old son here suspecting a lip and/or tongue tie due to lack of weight gain in him and painful nursing for me. Dr. Mast and his wife were so compassionate and knowledgeable in their fields. I felt so welcome and comfortable there from start to finish. Any mama out there knows how hard it is to hand your baby off to someone, trusting them to take care of them like you would, but I had no problem trusting Dr. Mast with my boy! Fantastic experience: Dr Mast answered all of our questions and concerns thoroughly. Our newborn got her tongue and lip tie lasered - the procedure was quick and efficient. A private room was available for nursing before and after the procedure. My baby's latch improved immediately and pain with nursing diminished. The after stretches aren't difficult to do but it is hard to see your child in pain- even though its necessary for proper healing. She had to relearn to nurse but so far is doing great. Would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Mast Laser Dentistry is worth the trip for your little one to be professionally taken care of with the experts. Dr. Mast is knowledgeable and honest. Our first born we waited until 7 weeks old not knowing why breast feeding was still painful, now with our second, just 12 days old, we knew right away a lip and tongue tie release was needed. Thank you Dr. Mast and staff!

Fantastic experience: Super grateful for Dr. Mast and his staff! Our 4 week old baby was unable to breastfeed or properly take a bottle causing him very upset stomach after every feeding. Dr. Mast’s front desk gal got us in next day and performed tongue tie procedure. Our baby was breastfeeding naturally within hours and no more upset stomachs! Very worth it and very reassuring and kind staff members!

Negative experience: Without them ever having laid eyes on my baby or them talking to any of the multiple medical providers who had been seeing my baby for the last 7 weeks, I was told that my baby was going to be “suffering for two weeks” if I didn’t go in the next day to get her potential tongue tie released. The office manager uses fear mongering to prey on worried parents to try and rush them into a $600 decision that their baby might not even need.
