Positive experience: There were some communication issues in the beginning before my son's surgery with scheduling however it ended up working itself out and the surgery was scheduled and the surgery was successful. Dr. Ballard is awesome and very knowledgeable. Her staff were very attentive and supportive to his needs. She even followed up personally after his surgery which I found very caring and professional.

A adult tooth that was up in her jaw uncovered and bound with a gold chain (to be slowly pulled into place by her orthodontist with her braces) The consultation appointment went well. They were very polite and professional. They answered all our qustions and helped my daughter feel comfortable and informed with the whole process. The surgery went quickly with no complications. The team did a wonderful job. We felt at ease the whole time we were there. When it's time to get wisdom teeth out we know where we are going back to!!

Fantastic experience: Thank you Dr Ballard and team! I was very anxious about getting a tooth pulled since it was my first time. Everyone was very reassuring, made sure to let me know what to expect with every step, and Dr Ballard made sure that I comfortable throughout the procedure. She had the tooth out and stitched up in about 10 minutes. The pain the day of was very manageable with OTC pain meds and I was very surprised to have absolutely no pain the next day! It was nice to get a call the evening of the extraction to make sure that I was doing okay and to have her contact info in case of any complications. Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: Wizardry, and some other arcane power. Let's see if I can cover everything. They cut the bridge, extracted a tooth connected, clean out infection that had been growing for years, bone grafted the area, applied a membrane and stitched it up. After all that, less than 24 hours after the procedure, I have zero pain and no bleeding. Witchcraft!!

The doctor even called after they closed to check on him and gave us her personal number in case anything we needed after hours. I am a 75 year old who has had terrible dental visits starting at early childhood. My anxiety was taken care of by Dr. Ballard, with her calm demeanor and explaining everything in detail. My entire visit lasted only 45 minutes and Dr. Ballard called later to see how I was doing. I thank Dr. Ballard and she has my highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: I got 4 of my wisdom teeth removed & I was so scared to do this literally shaking my way up on the chair. Dr. Hresko numbed me up pretty good ensuring if I was ok Everytime I made a face. It was PAINLESS though the drill noises and the process of removing it kept me scared. The assistant helped me with breathing methods & Dr. Hresko let me listen to music while operating which calmed my anxiety. My sister went here so I felt pretty confident. The team is outstanding and the Dr. checks on you the same day! Thanks so much guys !!!

Fantastic experience: so far so good they answer all my calls and have been helpful, lets see if they follow through better than everyone else so far, dealing with a complex issue induced by my general dentist had a tooth pulled it created a huge perforation had it closed at a place that isnt helping post op and im still having issues with it and the tooth next to it, Im hoping these people can help me my life has gone down the drain since having my procedure at the wrong place, will revise my review upon further evaluation. My issue is not simple and Im hoping they can take the necessary steps to get this taken care of, expensive but hopefully worth it.

By far the quickest & easiest tooth extraction I've ever had considering it was my 9#, he just did a amazing job. Unfortunately, the assistant was attempting to be rude several times in a secretive manner like many younger medical assistants tend to be. They really like to show off they're little Associate's degree they've earned. Unfortunately I've spent far too much time working next to them in neonatal & prenatal wards at hospitals so you're not fooling anyone , it's very obvious & very unprofessional. Therefore I give my visit a 3/5 otherwise it would have been a solid 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: Dr brooks and her assistant were the absolute worst! I went to get 3 wisdom teeth extracted and asked to be put under due to my high anxiety. They both were very rude and said i could not be put under due to drinking a little water a couple hours prior to my procedure. I am also anemic so the fasting procedure is a little much for my body. Dr brooks pushed for me to go thru with the procedure even though she knew my conditions. Instead of starting with the tooth that actually hurts she dislodged one of my wisdom teeth that was never even bothering me. I told her multiple times the procedure was painful and she was more rude and worried about her time frame then worried about her patient. She proceeded to tell me i was wasting her time when my appointment was set at 11:30 and i didnt get called back until 12:15. Who is wasting whos time?! All that to leave with an anxiety attack and no teeth pulled and way more pain then i started with! I would never ever recommend this place to anyone! So rude and completely unprofessional!

I am a very nervous emotional person when it comes to any procedure but she assured me everything was gonna be ok. I rarely felt a thing only on my bottom left where my tooth didnt come out in one piece.. only slightly painful but i got through it. I wish i wouldve gotten the dental assistants name she was very kind and even wiped my tears at one point while i was crying ( im just emotional i really wasnt feeling anything ) i think i was more overwhelmed i went through it awake and was in good hands. I am glad i went here for my wisdom tooth extraction and will continue to recommend them.

Mary Ballard contacted me by phone, which was completely unexpected, as I've never had a Dr. reach out to me personally offering to help. Its clear to me she takes pride in her practice and cares about her patients. After calling around for months to other offices and not getting anywhere, I cant thank her enough for making me feel heard and helping me navigate a difficult situation.

Positive experience: This is a comprehensive review for OFP Surgical Arts. The Good: I’ve had six appointments, two wisdom tooth extractions, three consults, and one implant removal. Dr. Rivas did my extractions. The same assistant worked with him on both. They worked quickly, efficiently. Bedside manner was appropriate and accommodating. They answered any questions I had and did not talk down to me. My rating for these encounters is 5 stars. For my implant removal, Dr. Rivas made special arrangements so that I could get the necessary procedure immediately; I did not have the resources for the appointment. If I would have waited, the situation could have turned dire. The arrangements Dr. Rivas made are way above and beyond what is obligated, making it exceptional. 5 stars. I saw Dr. Ballard for one consult regarding my wisdom teeth. She was deliciously logical. When she spoke, she didn’t waste a single word. It was some of the most straight-forward, unbiased, effective communication I have ever experienced. Definitely 5 stars. I was not kept waiting long for appointments. Folks at the front desk treated me politely, whether in person or on the phone. The waiting room is clean. Their intake procedure isn’t very complicated or bothersome. Every time I call, the people at the front desk handle my situations professionally, and are very helpful. 5 stars. What I didn’t like so much: During my second consult with Dr. Rivas, I asked for a treatment plan so that I could see what work I needed to have done and how much it would cost. We argued for 5-7 minutes. He thought that I should focus on one thing at a time and that me having a complete treatment plan is useless or not how he would have me go about the task. I should not have to argue over receiving a treatment plan. I do not need someone who knows nothing about my life telling me how to conduct my affairs. I understand he was trying to help me, but I would have rather he simply listened. Overall, I would rate the interaction 3 stars. What I hated: After my second wisdom tooth extraction, the area bled very little. I looked into the extraction and could see bone in the socket. I called Dr. Rivas and he assured me that it was too early to tell, that a clot may still be forming. I felt his assessment to be reasonable. The next day, I was in an incredible amount of pain. I called and spoke to the assistant. She said it was too early to tell. I felt her assessment to be reasonable. There was nothing inherently negligent or disrespectful about the first two phone calls. I feel as if the assistant and Dr. Rivas carried out their due diligence in each instance. For the third phone call, day 4 or 5 post op, I spoke with an assistant named Amy. Amy was rude. After talking with her I wished I hadn’t called at all. I was in severe pain that radiating to parts of my mouth and my ear. The pain and irritation were constant, but the ultra severe pain wasn’t at that point as it was responding to clove oil. The only question Amy asked me was “what are you eating." I listed off some things, and when I mentioned ‘peas’ she interrupted me in what felt like a ‘GOT YA’ attempt, to tell me if I was going to eat peas they needed to be pureed. If she would have let me finish my sentence, I would have been able to add that those peas had been blended before I ate them. I didn’t get any relevant information. She didn’t ask me any questions about what I was experiencing. She spoke to me with disdain. I did have dry socket. This pain kept me out of commission for ten days. I am not a person with a lot of resources, so this affected my life in some scary ways. If I had been listened to, this could have been avoided. The care I received at OFP was mostly exceptional. I will continue to go back there. I had a follow-up phone conversation with Dr. Rivas wherein he was attentive, professional, and apologized for the issues around the dry socket. Going forward, I hope that OFP staff does better with listening to their patients when they complain of a complication. I believe in my case that they will.

Fantastic experience: I have horrible teeth and I had to get six teeth removed. I don’t like dentists and I was so scared I was giving myself panic attacks. That was so silly of me because THIS dentist office is the one. They take my state insurance, they calmed me down by playing my music, they talked me through everything and the dentists was attentive, kind and VERY skilled.
