Negative experience: When I scheduled my appointment to see Dr. Khan, I asked if he was a holistic dentist, and one of the attendants confirmed that he was. The day of my appointment, I saw Dr. Khan and told him that all I needed was to have two caps glued back on. He wanted to take x-ray of my upper gum. I told him that I did not wanted to be exposed to unnecessary radiation, and asked him why is that needed when all I wanted was to have two caps glued back on. He responded: Sorry, but without x-rays I will not treat you. I asked him again: Why does he need to x-ray me when I only want to have two cups glued back on. Again he responded: Sorry, but I can not treat you without x-rays. Dr. Khan refused to respond the logical question. I thought he was a holistic professional, but he is not.
Fantastic experience: Dr Khan was very patient and gentle. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything about my oral health in a way that I understood. I appreciated that he presented my options without being pushy at all. The dental assistant was also very personable and did her job very well.
Fantastic experience: Had relocated to northern Maine and was unable tp find a dentist that was taking on new patients and thankfully for that or I would not have discovered the Maine Center for Dental Medicine. They were able to fit me in within the week. I felt at ease in the office and thru my first initial appt. Their technology, knowledge, and compassion all showed thru the appt. I have survived thru the "dark ages of dentristry" and they are non judgemental and willing to help get me back on track. I would give 6 stars if I could. Outstanding place !

The staff are amazing as well, everyone is professional and overall great. I’ve had four teeth pulled here in 2020 and I had stitches put in today and it is honestly the best place to go when you need to go to the dentist

Fantastic experience: My daughter went in for a tooth extraction. An abscess had developed along her gums. The treatment she got from Dr Khan and his team so totally surpassed all our expectations. She didn’t even realize her tooth was being taken out! Worth every penny. We’re so grateful for him and his team! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Haven’t been to a dentist in 6 years because most of them perform procedures that are unnecessary and cost me money. MCDM doesn’t just look at your teeth. They are the first dentist office where they don’t immediately want to take out a tooth, redo a filling, etc and yet try and get your whole mouth to a healthy place where the teeth will inevitably benefit. This is a legit place. It’s dentistry done right.
