Fantastic experience: Literally the best experience I’ve ever had in a dental practice in a long time yesterday afternoon I broke a tooth. I called multiple offices and was not able to get in when I called the front desk answered she was super friendly. I told her my situation she put me on hold and asked if can come in within 10 minutes. Upon arrival I was greeted. Everyone was friendly. I have very high anxiety when it comes to the mental office and every single person, including the doctor made me feel comfortable. They explained everything had clear communication. The dental assistant was the sweetest, even the front desk staff who helped with my Insurance made sure I understood everything went over my insurance went over payment plans, and made sure that I felt comfortable doing so the doctor was warm caring again talked about what he was doing step-by-step and the process I will definitely be coming back for all my dental care and I’ll be telling all my friends and family. You can tell they care about their patient’s and go beyond. I appreciate every single one of them.

Negative experience: Being dismissed from care while still needing my filling rechecked makes it *impossible* to recommend this place and Marquee Dental Partners. Just look up the reviews of Marquee Dental Partners :) History with the original practice ~ I first visited this office in 2019. Despite initial concerns about sanitation, Dr. Clayton made it right, which is why I chose to remain a patient. In 2024, I was unexpectedly billed about $40 from that 2019 visit—an odd situation that the office eventually waived. Fast forward ~ my husband began extensive dental treatment, and after Sam reviewed our insurance benefits, we agreed to proceed with care from Dr. Honig. However, during second visit at checkout, the amount due did NOT match what we had been quoted because of my husband’s deductible—even though I had called ahead specifically to verify costs. When we questioned the discrepancy, Francis, the front office manager, insisted it was entirely our responsibility to understand our insurance and that it was not the office’s job to inform us of what we would owe. After a very unprofessional exchange, the difference was finally waived. I escalated the concern to Alexis, the Regional Manager for Marquee Dental, and shortly after, both my husband and I were abruptly dismissed from the practice. Had I been a threat or if I was in the wrong I would totally understand ~ communication with clients is the number one the most important part of your job not just about the financial aspect of the care but as professionals there are ways to get your point across without escalating as an office manager you should be skilled in that. My request for a call from Dr. Honig was never returned. To this day, I am still receiving bills that require follow-up even after being reassured multiple times we have a zero balance ~ along with, get this lol automated emails encouraging us to “continue treatment” despite being discharged. Patients should be able to advocate for themselves without fear of retaliation. Transparency and professionalism were seriously lacking. I can only assume; and what was most concerning was that the office manager’s unprofessional conduct seemed to be dismissed, while my reasonable efforts to point out extremely poor client treatment and professionalism from the office manager while advocating for financial transparency were interpreted as crossing the line. Feedback for Dr. Honig: Clinical care alone is not enough. Leadership means ensuring patients feel respected and supported, especially when concerns are raised. I encourage you to run this partnership with the same level of professionalism and patient-centered care as your Lutz practice seemingly is.

Every person I interacted with was polite, professional, and you could feel that they enjoyed what they did for a living. On top of the great experience with the people working there, the prices for services suggested was much more affordable and explained in better detail than other dentistry locations I had visited in the past. I am actually looking forward to spending my money here, as opposed to dreading it like I did at previous dentist locations. Thank you all for making this as painless as possible!

Negative experience: insurance didn't seem to cover anything, I felt like I was paying cash for everything. had to go back six times total for impressions, waited almost a year for permanent dentures, THEY DIDN'T FIT! not going back, would not recommend to anyone. Still cannot eat with my dentures.

Fantastic experience: I received very good attention from the staff, starting with the girl Sam's who works at the reception. Dr. Rafael was a very patient person, he made me feel safe and familiar and above all very professional, explaining to me what each moment of my consultation consisted of and the care process to which I will be subjected. Dr. Honig is also very professional. The place very clean and with very good hygiene.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is very personable. Seems like a happy place to work. They treat everyone like they have know you for years. I needed an appointment quick and they got me in the next day.

Fantastic experience: I love Sam who works in the office among other duties. The Dentist and Assistant were very kind and professional. In the end, I will have implants and a finished bridge. However, it was probably the worst pain I have ever experienced getting numbed. I have never cried getting the needles inserted but I almost did on that one. Im sure it was the location. All in all, they run a professional and kind caring office.

Negative experience: The app. X-RAY wasn't work correctly, Sept 30th 2025 the app. X- RAY wasn't work correctly, I ve got a double doses of radiation with no protective hood. The ads at the internet is not accurate, they don't do fillings. Be aware, they may charge you for extra service at the end of the procedures.I pad $190.55 just for rinsing after the presidure deep cleaning

Since she didn't return after covid there have been several dentists since then. Just when I have a dentist and hygienist I like they are relocated. For people who have a fear this is not good. Please at least keep them a year.

Fantastic experience: I was in need of a crown when I stumbled upon the amazing human beans that work here. I honestly was scared upon scheduling because truth be told who really likes to go see a doctor let alone a dentist at that. I will forever be coming here for all of my dental work. I honestly regret not coming here sooner. The comfort, care, compassion, that they show is a blessing. Especially for people like me because I was for sure embarrassed at the attention that I did not give to my mouth. Dr. Bishara is very hands on and engaging with his patients. He took the time to show me my x-rays and explained to me what he was seeing and what steps I needed to take. When it came to working on my teeth he was very gentle and never failed to ask me my comfort level before starting which I appreciated and after he finished he always asked how I felt. I have never felt as comfortable as they make me feel so if you have Cigna like me go here I also know they do take military personnel and deal with the VA. You are welcome in advance.

Positive experience: It was easy to get an appointment within a week. I arrived early and they took me back within a few minutes to get my routine cleaning started. Rafael (hygienist) was prepared and I felt very thorough. He discussed my treatment plan after my cleaning. Dr Honig came in at the end and checked everything and said all looked good.

Negative experience: The Worst Experience of My Life – Please Read Before Trusting Your Smile to Them I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this. What was supposed to be a simple dental procedure turned into one of the most humiliating and emotionally devastating experiences of my life. For over 30 years, I was a loyal patient of Dr. Mann, a compassionate and skilled dentist who cared deeply about his patients. After his passing, I gave Sunshine Smiles a chance out of respect for the legacy he built. That was a mistake I’ll never forget. In August 2024, I went in for a routine bridge replacement; The same bridge Dr. Mann originally installed and maintained for decades. What happened next was beyond negligent. Within four days of receiving my “permanent” bridge, it fell out while I was speaking in front of my church congregation. I was in the middle of giving announcements when my teeth fell from my mouth. I was stunned, humiliated, and in tears in front of everyone. Despite multiple follow-up visits and thirteen appointments in three months, the bridge continued to fall out repeatedly. I missed family birthdays, funerals, and stopped socializing out of deep fear and embarrassment. I couldn’t speak confidently without worrying my teeth would fall out again. Imagine having to carry your own teeth into a dental office, crying, desperate for help, and still getting none. Initially, the office admitted fault and promised to fix it. But after losing over $3,000, exhausting all trust, and enduring endless back-and-forth with their management, I received a certified letter abruptly stating I was no longer welcome there for treatment, no refund (until 3 months later), no resolution, just discarded like I didn’t matter. The emotional toll this has taken on me is immeasurable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. What was once a place of trust became a source of trauma. Please think twice before putting your health, your money, and your dignity in the hands of Sunshine Smiles. No one should have to go through what I went through.

Fantastic experience: My wife & I got our routine cleaning and X rays done today. I was very impressed with Sunshine Smiles from beginning to end. They handled all my questions with professionalism and worked with my Medicare insurance (Humana). The place was very pleasant as were the people there. They did not over pressure me for dental work I couldn't readily afford. They worked with me to schedule the appointments for the dental work I know I needed done. I trusted them from the very beginning. I also appreciated the good reading material in the waiting area. The Holy Bible This is my new go to place for all my dental work.

Negative experience: For the most part the staff was friendly. This was my first visit in a while (terrified of dentists) I was immediately concerned when I filled out the paperwork, to me, it implied there have been incidents where insurance doesn't want to cover things. I was concerned about the amount of x rays being done may not be totally covered. The person they put me with wasn't familiar with any of the machines in the office. As a result the process was intimidating to say the least. I'm not sure why current dentistry cant just look at my teeth with their eyes FIRST. They NEED xrays why? I'm sorry I want a dentist who starts off with the basics look at my teeth, I will even let you pick at them with your tools. But relying on xrays SEVENTEEN of them to start??? I'm sorry this seems like a cash grab to me. I'm sure billing insurance thousands in the process and then we pay what they dont. You need to start small, If you cant use the first "fancy" all around the head x ray then why take it? Most dentists can get by with four. You office needs 17. The last dentist I went to explained a lot and what to look out for in other dentists. I'm sorry I cant recommend this dentist practice. In the office for 30min and not one look in my mouth just xrays. Edit....OMG I just looked at the comments and I'm glad I did it seems others had a similar experience. READ ALL THE COMMENTS.

Negative experience: Run! Stay away from Sunshine Smile Designs! I had nothing but great experiences there with Dr. Clayton, but she is no longer there, so find another dentist office that the staff will not try to scam you into spending money.

Negative experience: I'd give less than 1 if I could. My husband discussed in detail that he had a bad gag reflex before making an appt. They assured him they could help. When he went in they pushed full X-rays (even though he had sent very recent X-rays from a different office). He questioned if they would be covered since he had just had then done at a different office. They assured him they were covered. Then the dentist examined him only to say he couldn't help him and he'd have to go somewhere else. A month later they began calling excessively saying he owed an additional $10 after he already paid what was due. When I called they said they'd take care of it due to the issue and since it was such a small amount. But obviously their whole office is a disaster including their office staff and billing office. Yesterday, 3 months later, we got FIVE separate copies of the exact same bill for the same $10. They will seriously spend more money in postage just to harass you than the minimal amount they said they would take care of!! Highly recommend that you do not go there!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service both front office staff and dental professionals. Very good at explaining your treatment plan and answering any questions you might have. I really liked that when you have to go out of pocket once you are out your insurance, the rate you pay for procedure is the exact same rate that the insurance company pays the Dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have an upcoming visit but the interaction I had while making my appointment was very professional and she took the time to understand why I was changing providers. She was very empathetic when I told her how Coast Dental ripped me off last week when they changed my appointment from an emergency visit for a broken tooth to a comprehensive visit then took expensive x-rays not covered by my insurance of my full mouth and quoted me $630 over what they reported to my insurance company for an estimate to pull a tooth. I was so happy when I told Sunshine Smile about this they said I could have Coast Dental send the x-rays I had done last week and if I needed any additional x-rays they would do them at no charge. They were very accommodating to my schedule and booked me and my son back to back visits on my only day off. I cannot wait to get my second opinion and hopefully get out of the extreme pain I have been in. I look forward to reviewing the back office after my appointment but the staff who answered the phone was GREAT. (I work for my insurance company and I see how people are ripped off and how dentists are not always transparent but the scheduler instilled confidence in me and showed a lot of compassion.)

Negative experience: This place went from my favorite to my least favorite dentist. The old staff is gone. They tried to up sell me to a deep cleaning which I did not need. I am religious about going every 6 months and this was not needed. I told them if they couldn't do a regular cleaning I was leaving. He said he would ask the dentist but after 30 minutes the dentists still did not show up to the office. Late they tell me. So, George then rudely proceeded to do the worst cleaning I have ever had. Took 15 to 20 minutes, so much for needing extra cleaning! I had to go and have my teeth cleaned a week later somewhere else and they were astonished to think a week earlier I had a cleaning. They also said my gum did not need a deep scaling. I will not be back here again and please look elsewhere if you want to save your money and your teeth. Shame on you Sunshine Smile.

Negative experience: They will overcharge you and blatantly lie during the refund process. To preface this I have YET to receive my refund I'm owned. Early February i got a deep cleaning done and was quoted over 400 dollars for the work (looking back that's a ridiculous price for what was done). I stupidly paid it in full that day. A few weeks later I see that my EOB states I only should have paid 99. So I went to the office and the front desk lady explained that the refund was not processed and that takes 10 to 15 business days. I say fine and wait. I cancel my appoint I had scheduled in March and they had the audacity to send me texts asking to "continue my dental care" I reply stating I'm still waiting for my refund. Another week passes so I decide to call the insurance company, the lady on the line said the payment was process on the 13th of FEBRUARY, (before I even went in the first time!). She called up the dentist and said they were processing my refund and we had spoke the week prior, the ONLY contact we had the week prior was me mentioning my refund with no reply. I am very close to filing a claim with my dental insurance. And I recommend you stay away from this dentist office, I just feel bad as most of their clients seem to be elderly and won't do their due diligence.

Negative experience: I called to make an appointment in late February and asked if they take my insurance Florida Blue. They said they did. So I went in and had x-rays and an exam by the doctor. They weren't able to get through to my insurance so we were going to wait until the next day. After finding out that they don't take Florida Blue, I got a different dental insurance and brought that in to them to see if they were covered by my new insurance/ discount. That took another one to two weeks for them to let me know that they weren't. The second week in March I went to a new dentist and asked the first dentist and asked Sunshine smile for my x-rays and exam info which they said they would give me or forward to the new dentist but they never did and we're actually rude to the new dentist front desk. Also they said I needed six caps and when I got to the new dentist I don't need any caps. Food for thought

Negative experience: My mom has just had a terrible experience with this company and by everything that has happened with her. I would tell you stay far away from this business.

Negative experience: Told me one price then told me another when I came back with the money, I said something about it like anyone would. They turned around and told me they wouldn't do the work due to quality of life for me (literally calling someone poor underhandedly) this company is full of people that do not have good bedside manner. It happened awhile ago but I still wanted to review them and my experience so others knew how they discriminate, stereotype and treat people who hold them to their agreed upon word. Which I still got my work done by a amazing dentist at Tampa Palms Dentistry and their other company Family Implant & Cosmetic Dentistry at 787 w lumsden rd the sister company that does the work and they did amazing, got paid what sunshine wanted and i see them every 6 months with zero negativeeffect to my quality of life. They improved it so much more than I could have imagined. They're amazing and a have a so much more hygienic office too. Oh and thanks to sunshine smile designs notifying me with their unwelcome soliciting texts messages that I DID NOT AGREE to receive it refreshed my memory .

Negative experience: After going to Sunshine for about 10 years they doubled the price of my routine cleanings without telling me before I arrived for my appointment. When I emailed them afterwards (twice), they ignored my emails where I asked about this matter. I need to find another dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ladzinsky is one of the most kind, compassionate and gentle dentist that I have ever met. I have had the privilege of watching him do extractions, fitting for partial and fillings in my 85 yr old Aunt. If you are looking for a dentist don’t hesitate to come here. Everyone is just so welcoming and pleasant!!

Negative experience: Where do I start? From rude front office staff to the broken xray machine to the fraudulent and non transparent billing practices. Not only was I billed for x-rays they never took, but I was also double charged for crown work because they never noted my initial payment and tried to charge me more than my insurance's negotiated and accepted rate. I've called 3 times and left messages to have someone return my calls to figure out where there error happened only to receive no call back, and a bill in the mail for services never rendered. The due date for said bill? In the past prior to it even arriving at my house. Do yourself a huge favor and stear clear of this scam dentist office. I couldn't give this place zero stars but that's all they deserve. Absolutely horrible experience all around.

Negative experience: Drill happy and overcharge. It started out great. The staff is real nice. They made a dental plan for me that included 3 crowns and one possible root canal. Super nice staff. I almost fell for it. I questioned that dental plan and went to my dentist of 24 years in Maryland. I Needed one Crown and 2 filings. BTW, the 1 Crown I needed cost 1/3 of what they are charging. It's the same dental insurance. I saved thousands even with the extra travel expenses. Do yourself a favor get a second opinion.

Negative experience: Update! I would like to update on the mess that this turned out to be. I should have completed the process before making my review. During the process I asked repeatedly and told them I did not want any metal showing on my bridges they assured me it would be fine. Over a year and $6,000 later I cannot wear either bridge (top and bottom) because all you see is metal. I was in absolute tears! When I went in they only gave me one option for the bridges and because of that I was stuck with what they gave me. If I wanted something that didn’t show metal I would have to pay another $3000!!! I never even went back to pick up my top bridge. I was absolutely crushed. As a single mom I do not have $6k to waste on things which is exactly what I did there. Please do NOT go here. Find anywhere else to go.

Fantastic experience: I went for a consultation about my existing implants which I had done somewhere else and was not happy with the results. The dentist at Sunshine Smile was very knowledgeable, understanding, and patient explaining my options to correct the previous poor job. They even took a complete new set of X-rays at no charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants competent advice on their dental situation.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly and effective. The doctor is great, he takes the time to explain everything. During the procedure he lets you know what he is doing step by step. This is necessary for me not to be anxious. Love it.

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say that this dental appointment was the best one I've ever had in my whole entire life and I'm 73. I chose Sunshine smile because of the name. Not only am I a sunshiny kind of person but each and every one I spoke with there was absolutely refreshing with great big smiles helpful information and attitudes that make you feel comfortable and special. I was quoted a price to do my lower gum implants and I'm going to do that right after I get back from Virginia next month. I will be calling them to set up my appointment. As much as I have always disliked dentists I would recommend Sunshine smile and their staff to any and everyone that has to go to the dentist. (Make sure you go back to oval Missy! Fantastic experience: The staff and the dentist and also the anesthesiologist was "ABSOLUTELY" THE BEST EVER! I've not even had my procedure done yet, but Dr Michaud (anesthesiologist) let me know I didn't need it...gave me 99.9% confidence. Great first ever visit to a dentist office, I've been to 7 different dentist offices too.

Fantastic experience: The staff and the Dr. Were super nice. Put me at ease. I was spoken to with respect and my concerns were taken seriously. The Dr went over a plan of action with me and we are in process of carrying it out. My dental health was put on hold for several years and I was very stressed out about it. Now I feel like I have a professional in my corner helping me achieve my goals and I feel a great sense of relief.

Fantastic experience: I called the office to make an appointment for my husband on Wednesday and I got an appointment for the next day. The dentist was very nice and explained what was causing his problems and what they could do about it. The clerk gave him the charges to review and we accepted and paid for them. Very efficiently run office and very friendly. Have him coming back within a week to have the work done.

The Dr. is young but very good and knowledgeable. I got a crown done here after checking and comparing at other place. My crown is perfect! This is my new place for all dental needs!
