Fantastic experience: teeth cleaning was great. Too bad that your offices in Venice have been shut down suddenly.

Negative experience: Three years I elected to have Dr. Ginter install a crown on one of my teeth. I was not having a problem and my mouth felt fine. After Dr Ginter worked on my mouth, it started burning. From that time until now I have been suffering with Burning Mouth Syndrome. I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always excellent! Dr. Rivera was very informative and helpful with suggestions. I have gone to Waterside for many years, and have always been happy with my service. I know they are closing, so I would go to the place they recommend I go to.n

Fantastic experience: Good service but the company keeps changing the doctors and to find out next week they are closing down completely!

Negative experience: When I arrived for my appt today I was told the office will be permanently closing and the equipment to put my crown in was moved to the Port Charlotte office. Needless to say, I’ll be looking for a local dentist after I get my crown in

Negative experience: My experience was not good. I was scheduled initially for 9 AM (which was after my morning Session) When I pulled into the parking lot, I got a call from the dentist office to reschedule me for 1 PM. I did not get into the dentist chair until about 20 Minutes past one And then I only saw the dental technician. The dentist herself didn’t show up for at least 10 or 15 minutes. So I was in the chair till almost 2 o’clock before anything happened. She suggested that I probably needed to have a tooth extraction and an implant. But that wasn’t what I initially went to see the dentist for to begin with. Not sure that I’ll go back. I know that dental offices have been being rolled up by Private Equity.for a couple years and it’s now a situation where there’s Corporate ownership In the form of DSOs and dentists are employees and not owners. To sum it up, I really did not enjoy my experience and I’m gonna think about whether or not I will return.

Fantastic experience: Friendly front staff. They were able to help me when I had to reschedule an appointment. Hygienist and dentist were nice too.

Fantastic experience: I am a first time patient of waterside dental. I felt the receptionist Lisa treated me pleasantly and works hard to accommodate my time schedule and was knowledgeable about insurance coverage. I met Rhonda the dental assistant and was immediately at ease with her friendliness and knowledge of her job. I have had her do procedures on me two times already and can tell she does the job correctly. Dr A is amazing! She has done two crowns for me recently and she is compassionate, listens very well to my concerns and my teeth feel great now.

Negative experience: Ever since the company was sold, the staff are always changing and I miss that consistency. Since the staff are new each time, I have to repeat myself with each visit since they don’t know me and my dental history very well at all. This last visit was yesterday, I had to wait a while for the dentist to even come in since there’s only one dentist now. When she did come in, she didn’t even introduce herself or examine my mouth. All she did was just look at my x-rays and left. The dental hygienist didn’t even floss my teeth all the way as she should, which was the first time I can remember that ever being done. Also, it was definitely not a relaxing environment with an obnoxious “reality” TV show playing about ladies who were sexually assaulted right in front of me. I was very disappointed and frustrated by the time I left from my visit. So much so that my husband and I will be moving to a different practice for any future cleanings. Another thing that I really don’t like about this practice is the fact that since the company has been sold, you now have to speak to a call center who does not communicate well with the front office. They were always calling me from my husband‘s appointments even though I asked them to stop doing that. It’s not unusual for them to reschedule appointments and then have to wait two or three months to get back in. They just did that to my husband earlier this week and now he won’t be able to be seen for almost another two months. I have been thinking for a while now about changing practices, but my visit yesterday definitely was the final, deciding factor to move practices.

Negative experience: Sorry it wasn’t a descent cleaning. For my entire life cleanings have been 45 min not 25. No flossing done under my bridges or any of my teeth & no gum measurements done.

Fantastic experience: All was good. I miss having people introduce themselves and what they will be doing to me. Just wearing a name tag helps. Its just a nice courtesy and I think it makes the patient feel more comfortable.

Fantastic experience: They were Professional, kind and quick

Positive experience: Dentist and technician very good and professional. It was my first time seeing this dentist and would have liked to have been introduced to her. She never took off her mask and only said hi from behind me before beginning her work. Also, although technical skills were excellent, she did not talk to me or describe what she was doing as she worked.

Negative experience: I have been to Waterside Dental previously . Front desk was not very organized. The doctor was great. My husband just went for his exam and cleaning and when he got in the chair, there was no hygienist. No call to let him know. He was quite upset and decided to leave. The exact Sam thing happen to me yesterday. I also chose to leave since cleaning my teeth was my priority. I also tried call Ing last week. I was told my a recording that I would be speaking to someone on about 10 minutes, 30 minutes later I hung up, I would not recommend them, too unreliable with hygienist and a front desk that had to deal with the no show of the hygienist. I asked them why they didn’t call me to let me know and no one had an answer.

Negative experience: Wife called before app and they said fees were about $120 for a cleaning. I walk in they quote me $400. Before I made appt made it clear I wanted xrays/cleaning same day. Get there office mgr said she couldn't guarantee that. I told Hygenest I wanted a routine cleaning, her response based on the xrays we would mandate a deep cleaning. Its my teeth, my $, and MY decision what treatments I get - you can't mandate anything! Lastly did I see a sign that said if you use a credit card you pay a higher fee??? I felt like I was getting "nickle and dimmed" and there was no customer service at this office.

Fantastic experience: Lisa Cole, friendly professional. It's been a while since the front office was welcoming. Diana, dental hygienist is excellent. Again she's a welcome addition, friendly, professional. Right now they are the backbone of the practice. New dentist is personable and hopefully will stay with the practice. There had been a gap in professionalism since Kelly and Marisol left the practice. Dr Rivera was very thorough but has left the practice. Thank you to Diana and Lisa and best of luck to the new dentist.

Negative experience: Not too organized anymore. My wife and I had appointments for cleaning. In the eleventh hour I get a call changing my appointment. I ask about my wife and the person was so confused she had to pass me on to someone else who said her was changed but for only a check up which wasn’t what we made the appointment for. We won’t be going back here

He takes time to listen and thoroughly explains everything he’s going to do and throughout the procedure. Moving and leaving my dentist of over 40 years, I was apprehensive about finding a new one. Negative experience: Truly pains me to even give one star but you have to to get on here. 3 years. 3 years I spent with this company to get my mouth to a healthy + and where i felt more confident. It's not like it was anything extraordinary. There was some work to be done but nothing that couldn't have been handled by competent people. 3 years and I was left w/love with, 'Well I hope you love me now." Referring to me saying it we as nice to have same damn dentist. I am now left with probably another $10,000 worth of dental work + maybe a lawsuit

Positive experience: Went in for a cleaning. The hygienist, Stefanie (sp) was polite, did a very nice job and answered all my questions and concerns. Disappointed because the dentist was not in the office and unavailable to discuss treatment options. I had to make a separate appointment to see the dentist, Dr Rivera. Fairly new to this practice but it seems when I come in for a cleaning and find issues to discuss with the dentist he’s not there. My prior dentist (in MI) was always there to see you right after a cleaning to ensure it was done properly and discuss treatment. Seems like dentist in FL want patients to make an extra appointment to see the dentist - seems unnecessary and inconvenient for the patients.

Fantastic experience: This Dental office is very professional, caring, and friendly. From walking in the front door until you leave, and everyone along the way. Dr. Rivera takes the time to listen to you and explains everything in detail. I was always comfortable there. I highly recommend this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I was quickly greeted by friendly faces as I had my yearly exam w/X-rays and a great cleaning. My dentist was both professional and friendly, he examined my teeth and X-rays and then let me know that my teeth were in good shape. The process was easy, pain-free, and I was on my way in about 45 minutes. Great staff, , thank you all!

Negative experience: I waited 45 minutes and had to reschedule. I have been consistently disappointed with the customer service. The turnover has been worrisome. Communication with patients needs to improve.

Negative experience: About run off the road this morning, aggressively tailgating me by one of your employees in the Mercedes. If this is the kind of personel you hire, I would be wary of your professional services.

Fantastic experience: Kelly was wonderful, explain everything that I needed to know about some things I needed addressed. Dr., Eric Riviera was very thorough and explained everything I needed to know. The receptionist was very kind too. We are new to Venice & Florida and everyone made us feel welcomed!

Positive experience: Keep cancelling our appts then saying my husband has to pay for gum disease antibiotics..if they would keep the appt for cleanings then he wouldn't be more susceptible to gum disease. Looking for new dentist!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ginter and hygienist Lynn provided excellent care and service during my last visit. It was determined that I needed a crown replacement. They shared the film indicating the problem and answered my questions. I received a copy of the treatment cost for the procedure. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and friendly care for their patients. August, 2022. The crown replacement has been completed. It’s a perfect fit and I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Ginter and staff. Thank you once again.

Fantastic experience: I woke up to a problem with my tooth and started calling around for a dentist to see me in an emergency basis. I spoke to Kenzie-she is so professional- she put me in right away. Dr. Rivera and his staff were extremly professional and caring. They immediately took X-rays examined my tooth and referred me to the specialists he refers out to. Both were excellent! The endodontist he referred me to was amazing and I had my root canal this week. I have to say I have neglected my dental care because I have found it hard to find a good dentist. Now I can say I have a great dentist! Dr Rivera and his staff are amazing and I can honestly say I have found a place that I wholeheartedly trust with my and my family's dental care. Kate, the hygienist, did a great job of cleaning my teeth and Dr. Rivera was so informative, carefully explaining all the options for my dental needs. He didn’t suggest I do unnecessary procedures. I highly recommend this group and am very happy I made the change.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rivera did an awesome job today on a challenging crown. Dr. Communicated through the procedure well. His assistant was nice and the office staff was professional.

Negative experience: Dr. Rivera refused to clean my teeth. The reason was a condition that was caused by a periodontist more than 30 years ago. I have a deep pocket in one of my back molars. I have faithfully had my teeth cleaned twice a year for all those years with no problems. He wanted to send me to another periodontist and I refused. I only wanted my teeth cleaned. I would never recommend this practice too anyone. One star is too much.

Fantastic experience: Dr Freeman put me immediately at ease at this first visit, took plenty of time to familiarize himself with my issues and overall health. This man knows his stuff. His assistant Holly is a gem - she is upbeat, friendly, and very reassuring, telling me I was “in good hands” with Dr Freeman, he’d “take care of me,” exactly what this nervous patient needed to hear. I heard a cheeeful staff throughout the office - on a Monday! I did have a wait, so maybe plan for that. It was worth the wait to feel confident and not rushed through. I’ll happily go back, without fear.

Fantastic experience: Kim gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For a rescue! I had 4 Crowns today! Kim fixed a problem like a rockstar! Don't let anyone say you can't have 4 crowns in a day! It's possible!

Positive experience: The practice is ok- my concern here is there is rarely the same dentist & hygienist. I do want to deal with the same person. The dentists that I have seen are fine- but I prefer a practice where I don’t have to re-introduce myself every time I go in.

Negative experience: After filling out multiple forms and having previous dentist office forward my last xrays, I arrived this morning and was informed they could NOT just clean my teeth without submitting to a panoramic xray and a letter from former doctor saying I didn't have to premed from limb replacements over 12 years ago!! What is happening to our insurance and docs these days? I just wanted a simple twice a year cleaning!!

Fantastic experience: I was in Venice for only 2 nights when I had a dental emergency. Waterside Dental squeezed me in on an emergency basis, took incredibly good and kind care of me, for a reasonable price. They were all just wonderful! We’re in Naples every winter and already decided if we need a dentist, we’ll drive to Venice to see Dr. Shirin!

Fantastic experience: After having an awful experience with a local Venice dental practice I was really hopeful that Waterside would provide a good environment for me to address a few issues I’ve been having. The staff at Waterside exceeded my hopes and restored my faith in local dentistry. The hygienist took her time to carefully capture X-rays while ensuring my comfort, the dentist, Dr. Shirin Arkwazee was so thorough, knowledgeable and patient. She took time to explain what she saw in the X-rays and her proposed care plan. Everyone on staff connected with me, listened to me and made me feel like I am in good hands. I scheduled several appointments and without fear, I’m looking forward to getting this necessary work done to ensure my dental health. I’m so thankful to be a patient in their practice. I can’t wait to go back.
