Negative experience: The dentists here are very good and i also like how close to home the office is. The reason for the poor review is they have a rude snarky lady named Donna as thier front desk receptionist. Since the day ive got there ive had to turn the other cheek for her and today was the last time. From the start shes been rude snarky and laughs at me with little grins and eye rolls. Started with me expressing my anxiety and stress caused from having to go to the dentist. My teeth always have problems so i get alot of work done. Thank God i have amazing health insurance that always pays 100% and has no cap on how much i can spend per year. Today i got a bill and 75$ wasnt covered for removing a broken bracket from when i had braces as a kid. They had to remove the bracket to do $1340 worth of work that was paid 100%. I had overheard her say to another patient trying to make a payment that since her insurance already paid so much they would wave the remaining balance. So i called asking for the same treatment. She laughed at me and acted like i was a fool for even asking such a absurd question. When i told her about the patient she waved for she said they had a different kind of insurance that they have to wave so much of that balance yearly. Thats fine but laughing at me and be a snarky person is not. I had brought my wife and kids also to this office and my wife refuses to go there because donna is such a " high class citizen" that she looks down, laughs and is condescending to people.My 16 year old son also agrees that shes rude. So my family of 5 will take our no cap unlimited dental health insurance elsewhere. I see many others have had the same distasteful experience with the front desk. My suggestion to the dentist is to get this corrected asap because the most important person in the building is your front desk receptionist. Shes the first person you have to interact with and sets the tone for your establishment.

Fantastic experience: Just want to give a huge shout out to Region Dental in Laporte! They are always so kind and welcoming! They truly make you feel like you are more than just a dental patient. My dental hygienist was Nicole and she was so easy to talk to! She took the time to explain everything and always gets to know me as a person. I asked Nicole what age kids should typically see the dentist for the first time and she said at any time I could bring my daughter with me so she can see what it’s like to be at the dentist that way she isn’t scared when she goes for her first time! Donna, the front receptionist, is also so sweet and accommodating! My dental insurance is ending next month and she was able to get me in before it ended. I highly recommend Region Dental if you are looking for a new dentist! The whole team is amazing

Positive experience: I have been going to Dr. Berquist for nearly 3 yrs. He is really nice and professional. His hygienist is the best I have ever had clean my teeth. But, I will no longer go there, due to his front desk person. In my opinion she has been mildly rude, and seems like she doesnt' care to be there ? This year my insurance changed and I had to give her my new member ID #, 3 times. Only after a 3rd trip to the office did she finally get my claim sent correctly. In my opinion she may be costing Dr. Berquist clients ? From day 1 she made me feel uncomfortable. I kept going because I really liked the dentist and hygienist, but this past visit was too much.

Fantastic experience: My husband just went to the region dental office for cleaning and check up he was so please with the new hygienist Angela who did a extra special job at cleaning his teeth he said she was not going to leave any plaque on his teeth great job Angela can’t wait till I get my teeth cleaned by you. Also Donna at the front desk is so very friendly and personable she makes everyone that comes in the office feel great and she is very pleasant to talk to on telephone thank you for making our visits and getting appts made wonderful and easy!

Fantastic experience: We left our dentist office in Valpo to come to Region Dental. They got us in pretty quickly all things considered. My daughter needed a cavity filled. Our dentist was very discreet with the needle so my daughter wasn’t scared. He talked her through the whole procedure. It has only been a week that she has had her new filling but it’s still there which is more than what I can say about our former dentistry group. Both of my kids got their teeth cleaned today, no problems. Our hygienist today was very nice, and explained in detail what she found. My dental insurance isn’t very good, and the office staff let me know up front about the coverage issues and discussed cost, which I really appreciate. Additionally, the waiting room/office area and patient areas are very clean and there is a pleasant smell. It just looks and smells very clean. To this point we have had a good experience with Region Dental.

Fantastic experience: Great Dentist! I have been going to them for many years. Moved to Valparaiso and tried to find a closer Dentist. Regretted that! I felt like just a number at the Valparaiso Dentist. Came back to my hometown Dentist, will never leave again. I feel at home here and the staff is amazing.

Fantastic experience: Because of the staff (who are wonderful) and not feeling like a number, but like a real person who's genuinely cared for, this is the reason why I drive from Plymouth, IN to La Porte, IN. The staff are very patient and kind and have put up with me on some of my worst days when I've not been so nice. That too is another reason why I stay....They're very understanding and always greet me with a smile and are always ready to assist in answering any questions I might have.

Negative experience: Had a really terrible experience here over the course of multiple visits and ultimately decided to stop coming to this dentistry. Front desk staff really made me feel inferior and would laugh on my behalf amongst themselves in front of me and make jokes at my expense not only when I came alone but as well as when I had family present which was surprising. Some of the disrespectful comments that were made are something I unfortunately wont forget. Family witnessed how these few ladies treated me and even they suggested it was time for a switch. Its unfortunate because this location is convienient for me and works with my insurance.

Positive experience: As alway my visit was very professional. It makes getting maintenance on my teeth an enjoyable time. See ya in 6 months.

Fantastic experience: This practice is fairly new to me. Been there 3 times. One cleaning, one cracked tooth and one 50 year old filling that need replaced. EVERYONE is fabulous! The gals at the desk keep me apprised of where I am for insurance, which no one has ever done! They are super friendly. I HATE, and I mean HATE shots in my mouth, but Dr. Dan has this awesome method that makes them painless. The hygienist was amazing. I have always had a sore mouth after a cleaning...not THIS time! I would give them 10 stars if I could!
