Negative experience: I’ve been a patient for many years, and up to now the service and care has been great. But something has changed in a very negative way. No history of periodontal disease for 65 yrs, a hygienist retires, and new hygienist declares periodontal disease which needs deep cleaning and follow up every 3 months. When questioned and I decide I’d rather try home care for 6 months and repeat the exam, I’m told either deep clean or take a hike. I ask the dentist to call (I’m a physician) and the answer is silence. This office has gone corporate like so many, and the feeling I’m left with is disappointment. I’d never treat my patients in such a rude manner.

Negative experience: Overcharging. I have an emergency, but instead of just pulling the cracked tooth, they will *ONLY* pull 2 teeth, with bone grafts, etc. for THREE GRAND!

Fantastic experience: The staff were friendly and professional. Today I was in for a cleaning which was thorough and painless. I've also had a root canal and crown done here and was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Foothills Dental!

Negative experience: Charged hundreds of dollars more that stated over the phone when I scheduled the appointment. When I questioned the price and asked about my insurance their representative that gave me the quote became rude, loud and lied that we had discussed insurance already over the phone which had never happened. The workers gossip loudly and openly insult the younger lady at the front desk calling her "worthless".

Negative experience: Used teeth salesman. Told me it would be 820$ for a pulled tooth. Didn’t even apply insurance or something. I left. I went to another dentist office SATURDAY MORNING. Got my tooth pulled and better service for 92$ after they applied my insurance. Will never go to Foothills dental even if my teeth started talking to me.

Negative experience: I have came here for a very long time (even before Mary Huffman bought out), always had the best care. But the last several times the front desk staff is not friendly. I had to have my appts rescheduled at last minute the last 2 times because of dentist calling out (mind you I had already put in my PTO at work to have off those times). Anytime I call on the phone the lady/ladies that answers are very rude, I needed a copy of my bill sent to me and still haven’t received it. With that being said I have moved my care elsewhere and was the best decision I have made!! When you go to the dentist you want happy, smiling faces and friendly customer service. That hasn’t been the case here for years.

Fantastic experience: Revonda is the best dental hygienist I have seen in 15 years. The dentists are always knowledgeable and friendly.

Negative experience: Entire office is rude, unprofessional and liars. I checked that she was a preferred in-network provider before making appointment just for a simple cleaning. Charged hundreds of dollars more than expected. When checking with my insurance company, office staff told my insurance a different story than what they told me. Will hold your money for months before paying you back from insurance payout. None of the office staff can get their story straight. For any of the office staff working there....why do you all keeping lying for this incompetent woman? Save yourself your hard earned money and go to a dentist that actually cares about your health and not your money.

Fantastic experience: Been with Foothills for years now and I enjoy seeing my hygienist every 6 months and Mary Huffman has always been knowledgeable and has kept my teeth in good working order.

Negative experience: After two teeth cleaning appointments I have NOT received any scaling of tartar and plaque from my teeth. Both times they said they were clean enough and only took ex-rays. But they submit visits to insurance as Teeth Cleaning! It was after careful research and consideration that I had chosen Dr. Huffman. Upon arrival I was seen by a new dentist, enumerated just the week before. On my next cleaning appointment when meeting Dr. Huffman she never greeted me or spoke to me, only goofed around with the hygienist. The big dog barking intermittently in the office was also alarming.

Fantastic experience: Never had a bad experience. Went to a different dentist years ago which , is no longer open. That dentist filled two cavities in my front teeth. Which left my teeth filling odd and thick. That dentist ended up applying filling over both teeth and not fixing the cavities. Mary Huffman had to spend an hour or more to correct and filled them properly. She did a wonderful job and I have my confidence back.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to Mary Huffman’s office since I moved here about seven years ago and I won’t be going there anymore completely because of the office manager, Brittany. Dr. Huffman and her hygienists are fantastic but not once have I dealt with someone so rude and disrespectful in that office before as Brittany is. I’ve never had somebody try to cancel my appointment without talking to me first, but yeah, apparently that’s a new policy. I was not a fan of her lack of apology either and rudeness over the phone. Not once have I ever missed an appointment with this office and I’ve always called to reschedule if I’ve had to.

Negative experience: Awful experience. I’ve been here three times and waited over 30 minutes to be seen every time. The front desk staff acted like answering any questions was a huge inconvenience. I got a filling that caused constant pain for three weeks. At my follow-up, I was told to “just wear my night guard” and given excuses because the X-ray looked fine — but no real solution. I ended up going to a different dentist, was seen within 5 minutes, had the filling redone, and the pain disappeared — clearly, the filling had been the issue. I had to pay out of pocket to fix it since it was a second procedure. This place was a complete waste of time and money. I never felt appreciated as a patient — I felt like a nuisance any time I asked a question or expected a reasonable wait time.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for a long time (15+ years) and the dental hygienists do a GREAT job and everyone is friendly. Will continue to go there for my dental needs as long as I live in the area. There are some things that need improvement in my opinion, but I will communicate that with the staff.
