Negative experience: Service is great,but the rescheduling department not so great this is my 2nd appointment and already got rescheduled but had to be told by the state driver that it was rescheduled, i'm glad someone was told but the first someone should be me I filled out the paperwork with phone number and email im just not sure why. Hopefully this is something they fix soon then a 5+ star can be earned

Fantastic experience: I'm not "done" the process yet & I'm in pretty good shape. So please bare that in mind. Example: I broke my hand in two places last year. I only missed 4 baseball games. I heal fast & I am 48. So far day after having 18 teeth pulled... Pain is low Swelling half of what it was yesterday. As for affordable Dentures. They are great. They could really use one or two more people helping the Dentist Mike WHO IS A ROCKSTAR! seriously he is amazing. People are very unique. Nowhere is that more apparent than with our anatomy & physiology. You MUST understand that before setting any expectations. Result WILL vary period end of story. If you're in good health otherwise. You should heal up in two or three days. Again day after, so far I would do this again 100%

Negative experience: My final pair of dentures suck they were expensive, don't fit, the doctor wasn't present when received final set just a lady who looked at me stupid. Last week had appointment drove from Chesapeake City to Abingdon MD to find a note on the door and a locked door, a other appointment was made and texted to me and on the day of the appointment was advised would have to call and reschedule because the office was closed saying the dentist was still under the weather. This is perfectly fine that the doctor was sick it happens however very unprofessional to not have a back up or fill in to keep business on track. With the amount of money paid by the customers this should be a no Brainer business wise. Anyway I waited an hour yesterday was seen at 340pm and my appointment was at 230pm. So pissed with this company.

Negative experience: Not happy with my dentures. Can’t eat with top and bottom teeth in. Can’t talk right with top and bottom teeth in. I can get by, somewhat, with just the top teeth in. Feels like too many teeth in my mouth. I was told I need to get used to them. Seems impossible!

Negative experience: The worst. I was given unwearable dentures that looked like horse teeth. They have no idea how to create a proper denture. THEY REFUSED TO FIX THEIR POOR WORKMANSHIP & YOUR APPTS WILL BE CANCELLED CONSTANTLY. Dr. Patton puts on a good show & acts like he cares... until they have your money in their hands. At that point- any small bit of integrity they may have goes out the window. Read all of the ONE STAR & BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU reviews. They arent even accredited with the better business bureau, never a good sign. Stay away from all chains but especially Affordable Dentures & Implants in Abingdon. If they had any sense of pride in the work they did, they'd never let someone walk out the door with that ill fitting of a denture.. i would be so embarrassed. From the first time I put them in, the bottoms never stayed in. They were huge. He told me it was because of my "extensive" bone loss & recommended implants. YEAH OK, like I'd trust you with that EVER. Its not extensive bone loss at all. It is minimal to moderate AT BEST. He will tell you your bone loss is extensive as an excuse for their ill fitting dentures & to try to sell you implants with them. My new bottom denture stays in perfectly now with adhesive, like it should. It was a clean, neat job. Ill give them that... and only that. The problem these people run into is that they dont know how to correctly fit someone for a denture. When the denture changed the shape of my face- instead of having some kind of pride in their work or integrity- they gaslit me. When I went to other professionals to ask their opinion... They told me they were fit horribly. A denture should NEVER even from the first fitting- IT SHOULD NEVER EVER COMPROMISE THE SHAPE OF YOUR NATURAL FACE. YOU SHOULDNT LOOK LIKE JIM CARREY FROM THE MASK. YOU SHOUDLNT LOOK LIKE YOURE STORING FOOD BETWEEN YOUR NOSE AND TOP LIP OR UNDERNEATH YOUR BOTTOM LIP. It shouldnt feel like your top lip is being stretched over the top of the denture. Luckily , I found a denturist who can actually be trusted & he gave me my smile back. A denturist is your best bet. Not a GARBAGE, CHAIN ,SORRY EXCUSE FOR A DENTIST, PRACTICE. And if you dont know how to properly do your job in 2026- its the age of information- educate yourself so you can have some type of pride in your work! Theres really no excuse... Like seriously - What are you doing??!! Oh and btw-- YOUR APPTS WILL BE CANCELLED THE MORNING OF- CONSTANTLY. 4 times in a 2 month period my appointments were canceled. Dr. Patton likes to close the office mostly on Mondays which happens to be the day I made my appointments for. My husband took off work once to come with me & we drove all the way there & the door was locked. Don't waste your time. Find someone who knows what they're doing & has a sense of pride in their work & at the very least- half an ounce of integrity.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is very pleasant, the wait time wasn't. I understand why. But rescheduled patients should not come before appointments of the day. All in all this dentistry is great.

Fantastic experience: I got my parcel bottom plate and i could not be happier. I never thought i would ever be without teeth in the front of my mouth. It will take some getting used to but other than that i am very pleased. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT THE ABINGTON OFFICE.

Negative experience: When you call to make an appointment 50% of the time you get voice mail. Very drawn out proceedure, now over a month and no partial and now told have to wait another two weeks. Already paid over $1700 and nothing to show for it. Had to wait over one hour at last 10:00 appointment to 11:05 before saw dentist. I think they are scheduling more people than they can treat.

Negative experience: Would not let me give a no star rating. As a new patient, I was initially impressed to be offered an appointment the very next day. However, that quickly changed when it was rescheduled, and then canceled again altogether. It left me feeling uncertain about the reliability of the office and not confident that it’s a place I want to go.

Fantastic experience: Out of all of my years of meeting and greeting dentist who had no bedside manner or gave a good listening ear. And I have to say Dr Patton is such a wonderful doctor. He’s non judgmental, he listens he is very understanding and will work with the best he can. Best place I’ve been to yet , hands down!!!

Negative experience: They take your money and don’t finish the job. Very disappointed. Hope they really send me my refund. Front desk Kellie, very unprofessional. Can take up to 3 days to return your call. Doctor told me to give him 2 days to review my scans in order to move forward. That was 3 months ago. When I asked what I should do, Kellie immediately told me I could go elsewhere. No apologies and no explanation. Did they scam me?

Negative experience: Appointment timing is absolutely HORRIBLE! You schedule for 1030 and aren’t seen until almost 12! Absolutely ridiculous!

Negative experience: This is the worst location for affordable dentures. I live an hour and a half away. They have been canceling my appointments since December 2025. They call 30 minutes before the appointment and cancel, I am already 20 miles into my trip. I can not recommend this location for any reason whatsoever. Very disappointed. They seem to only care about the money and today I missed another day at work.

Fantastic experience: Took my autistic daughter for a consult. The dentist and the assistant were extremely nice and professional. The dentist was extremely nice and very calming. Update: My daughter had her procedure today (3/16/2026). Dr. Mike extracted my daughter's tooth. I was concerned because she gets very anxious and afraid but he was so caring and explained everything he was doing or about to do. He really is a super caring, gentle human being and I'm glad we made the choice to have work done here. She's getting 1 tooth transplant so we'll go back in 3 months once the bone graft has time to adjust. Definitely made the right choice. Thank you!

They do everything they can to inform you about what options are available to fill your needs, and the process to accomplish the chosen end results. Negative experience: I was scheduled an appointment last Monday that was never actually scheduled, then last Thursday I had an appointment at 1:30, I waited 2 hours with not being seen. I called back to reschedule and asked to have a call back to ask a few questions, and still no response. So not really happy

I was finished before my appointment at 8:30. And the price was very very reasonable because I was out of my #Warranty.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patton is wonderful. The step to get dentures was a 2 year long journey doing research and checking out different places and options, I put the work in. Affordable Dentures and especially Dr. Patton and his amazing staff are what sold on moving forward with them. There was never any pressure, just true transparency of the options available to me. Every appointment was knowledge and decision based. First the moment I first walked in the door to my appointment today for my extractions, I was heard and taken care of. My comfort, my anxiety, all of it, was embraced, acknowledged and plans set in place. Kelly at the front desk is so helpful and friendly. Lucille is very supportive and informative. Overall, if you want to be seen, heard and valued as a human and not just a dollar sign, Affordable Dentures in Abingdon is the place to check out!! Negative experience: I get the feeling that this place isn't the same place I went to 2 and a half years ago. They changed owners (and dentists) since then. They were really nice to me until they got my money. After that, the customer service stopped. They gave me temps that were supposed to be in for 6 months. When they changed ownership, they somehow lost track of it and never called me back to get them done. That was in November 2022. I submitted an email asking them to contact me to provide an invoice so I could verify what i'd paid for. When I came in to have the procedure done initially, I was heavily medicated due to a recent liver transplant so I paid them and let them do the work. When they called back, they said I was due for a refund for work that wasn't complete and to come into their office to discuss it. When I came into their office, they clarified that I was not actually due for any refund. When I started asking questions about the bill, desk attendant started raising her voice. At this point, im so frustrated that I want my money back and I don't want any work done at this place. If I could cancel the rest of the procedure, I would do that and go somewhere else. New ownership also using automated phone support which seemed outsourced as well. The experience started fine, but sank as soon as the ownership changed for me. I felt pretty unwelcomed there and even though im due to come back to finish the procedure, the neglect and attitude from this business makes me want to call my lawyer and see what can be done to get out of this procedure entirely. Id rather patronize a company that values my business and doesn't forget that I exist once they get paid.

Fantastic experience: Been meaning to do this. Extractions were on June 25. Had some hiccups with that but nothing to not be expected. I love these guys. I am not an affectionate person but I hugged Dr Patton and staff once we got things straightened out.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place…was having problems with my bottom denture, it once was broken, had it repaired but it became loose, to a point I couldn’t even chew, thought I had to get a new denture, but doctor Mike told me that the brackets that holds the denture should’ve been changed every 9 months, after he changed it to new ones, now the denture fits perfectly, it only needed to change the caps, everyone else was saying I needed a whole new denture…thanks again doctor Mike for your help…will always recommend your services…

From consultation to extraction they were nothing but kind and compassionate as well as understanding to my financial obstacles. They worked with me to find the best solution for me that worked with my budget and were able to get me in quickly. After over a year of struggling, they gave me my smile back! Awesome job and amazing people!

Positive experience: Everyone is super friendly and the doctor did try and work with me as much as he could so I could get the financing approved. I was not made to feel embarrassed due to my financial situation and I do appreciate that. So for the staff, 5 stars. The main problem that I have is how long everything is taking or will take to get me smiling again. And for what I believe is probably the simplest of options available. During the three months it took me to acquire the deposit that I needed for the financing, I realized that the plan that we had come up with was not particularly the best for me now, due to a drastic change in my situation at home. At this point, I would only be able to afford dentures for my top arch and I would have to deal separately with the missing bottom tooth as in a bridge and then address the gum disease separately as well. (And as I write this, I am wondering why this wasn't suggested in the first place?) Is it better to pull out the entire bottom arch because of one missing tooth and gum disease that can be treated? Why not save the bottom if it is possible with not much effort and it IS only the one tooth..... unlike my horrendous top arch that I completely understand the reason for its entire removal... But now we are talking about only an upper arch denture, which I was told consists of 4 in-house appts. I had the first but then my second one is almost 2 weeks out!? Yikes! I'm wondering how long in its entirety is this really going to take? And I have to go somewhere else to have the teeth pulled which will probably add to it. (nobody's fault) There ARE advertisements out there boasting a full set of dentures in just one day; though I certainly didn't expect that. I did/do however, think that it shouldn't take a month-plus either, for just an upper arch. I mean, this is what they do. We'll see how it goes. Right now, as I wait for appt. no. 2, I am saddened with the realization that like so many businesses, that in the end, it's about the money coming in and not about the smiles going out......

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place to anyone due to the terrible experience I had. I initially went in for a simple procedure-to have a crown, which had come loose after 17 years, reattached with dental cement. Instead, the dentist insisted that the tooth root needed to be extracted or I’d risk an infection. I explained that the crown had merely dislodged from its original position, but he didn’t listen-likely more motivated by money than my actual dental needs. Reluctantly, I allowed the extraction, trusting his professional judgment, only to end up with an infection afterward anyway. They then took an impression to create a denture, but what I received didn’t fit at all-it would fall out even as I tried to place it in my mouth. To make matters worse, they attempted to secure it using some sort of adhesive, which tasted horrible and made me feel like I was being treated like an object rather than a patient. I had to rush to the bathroom to wash it out. Instead of taking a new impression to make a proper denture, they left me with the faulty one. I eventually returned and left the denture at their office since they refused to provide a replacement that actually fit. I’m still considering whether to a legal action.
