Negative experience: I came to Bluebonnet Trails seeking mental health services after avoiding treatment for several years because of previous negative experiences with providers. Unfortunately, this intake reinforced many of the reasons I was hesitant to return. I spent approximately 2.5 hours there. From the beginning, I repeatedly explained that I am neurodivergent, have difficulty with auditory/verbal processing, and communicate much better in writing. I asked multiple times to complete my detailed intake electronically. Instead, I was required to verbally repeat information I had already provided while frequently being interrupted before I could finish answering. Several interactions felt extremely condescending. When I tried to explain that my paycheck included vacation pay that was not representative of my normal wages, an employee highlighted “gross pay” and instructed me which number to read, as though I did not understand the term. When I explained that I had lost my driver’s license with my debit cards, I was repeatedly told, “I’m not asking for your debit cards, I’m asking for your ID,” despite having just explained that my driver’s license was the missing ID. The process was also poorly explained. After an hour-long Zoom intake, I waited alone for 10–15 minutes because nobody told me what happened next. Later, I was sent to another desk to schedule a medical appointment without being told what type of appointment I needed. When I explained this was my first visit and nobody had told me what I was supposed to schedule, that employee repeatedly interrupted me and spoke to me so dismissively that I finally had to tell her directly that she was being rude and not allowing me to speak. Two employees were genuinely kind and helpful, and I appreciated them. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling dismissed and spoken to as though difficulty with verbal processing meant difficulty understanding. This is a community mental health facility. When a patient repeatedly says, “This communication method is not working for me,” staff should listen. A person should not have to prove their intelligence to receive patience and basic respect while seeking help.

Negative experience: Bait and switch at its best. Was told visits would be $75 every time and labs would be billed separately at a discounted rate. Worked fine on my first visit. The second time they wanted $354. Canceled and walked out. Completely ticked.

Negative experience: If I could give no stars, I would! I was told to come in for an appointment at 8am and I’ve now waited for almost 3 hours to be seen. The check in lady was so unfriendly, unhelpful, and had the most bland and unapologetic attitude when communicating. Apparently they don’t do actual appointments for dental patients in pain, they only take walk ins. I was told I could come in for an appointment at 8 AM and even got emails/text confirming my “appointment” for 8:30. I wasn’t told I would have to wait for a long period of time to be seen. I just need some antibiotics and to get a dental plan going. The wait room is extremely hot and the front desk people just sit there and eat and gossip in front of everyone waiting to be seen. If this is the only clinic available in seguin, that would be absolutely disappointing. They need to do better.

Fantastic experience: Sequin AND SURROUNDING AREAS!!! This is, by far, the BEST bedside manner clinic around. Dr. David Murphy and his hygienist Bree were such patient dental professionals! Do not get bitten by the local Gator place. Not worth the hassle. This is the place for patience and understanding along with GREAT DENTAL care! Don't waste your time anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Padgett and dental assistant Bree are absolutely amazing! I have never had a dental team that works so well together and takes such good care of the patient! They make sure you are comfortable and pain free at all times. They actually listen and discuss the options fully. They never dismiss your pain or concerns. I always have a great experience with this team!

Fantastic experience: Only my husband 2nd visit at Seguin Family Health Center and I'm a VERY HAPPY !!! the way they have taken care of him and even though I'm not the patient I'm still a person and in the room as well . I'd like to give a Shout Out!!!! to our Medical Assistant, Frita C., she is al AWESOME!!!!!! She is so good to us that I feel like we're FAMILY!!! Mrs. Frita, we are so lucky to have crossed paths with you and making us feel at like we matter as not only patients but as human beings, answering all our questions and explaining what we don't understand !!! Negative experience: Called 10 times this morning for a short fill prescription i have been waiting on for a month+. I was told at first YES, I WILL get you a short fill— I understand you have been taking these medications for years, so as a new patient you can have a short fill, but after please make an appointment to discuss further, cool. Got 1 med, never got the other. Been calling for a month about it and got told today that the provider changed her mind!! I can’t get my medication and will be going thru withdraws at the discretion of my provider. Thanks ! And to the site supervisor Amber, learn to be more personable and stop reading your “i understand your frustration” script. We all know it’s a script and you seem like an inhumane robot with no feelings. What a worthless place. Should have never come here.

Fantastic experience: I called first thing this morning and they were able to fight my son in. And we always have a good experience going here. Frida was so good with my son she made him feel comfortable and helped make sure he was well token care of. He even said he hopes we always get to see her when we go back. Thank you Frida I hope you have the best Christmas I’m not sure of the doc name but she’s always so amazing with my son and always make sure he is token care of. Thank yall for your services ❤️❤️

Negative experience: Ridiculous wait times. Only 2 people besides me and took almost an hour just to tell me that they don’t have the vaccine I needed. Why would you schedule someone for something that is not available? Always having delays and too much wait times, it is a common issue each visit. Also the 5 star reviews seem fake, most likely bots. I sound like a hater but I’ve given them the benefit-of-the-doubt too many times, so I had to leave a review.

Negative experience: They are very rude unreliable. Do not understand they do not help. They think they know what they’re talking about but they don’t know nothing they tell you they’re gonna call you back and never do you call in to get results they tell you they’ll call you back in one hour. Never do very bad facility. I will not recommend any of these doctors to anybody even the representatives are very rude. I went to the ER. They gave me pressure medicine and gave me sugar medicine I come to this facility. They stopped me from all medication’s but I went to two other doctors and gave me medication for diabetes high blood pressure cholesterol and now she stops everything. I don’t understand so you take it from there very rude and bad people doctors don’t know what they’re talking about. It was a couple of them that were very, very bad that I saw. I do not recommend this place to your loved ones to yourselves or to your children. Thank you guys for understanding and God bless.

Negative experience: This is the second time they have canceled my appointment the day before with no warning. Do NOT try making this your primary care doctor, they will waste your time making you think you have an appointment only to cancel it just before.

Negative experience: Absolutely atrocious staff. Alba Sierra-Perez is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional in every way possible. She told my PREGNANT fiancé that she should never have even thought about having a baby because of her mental health issues and that she should find a specialist or she would end up in the “looney bin.” Alba also said that my fiancé was a “bird without a nest” due to her not being completely prepared for getting pregnant. The staff doesn’t listen to patients whatsoever. When they were trying to draw blood for testing they pricked her at least 8 times and when told to try her feet they just laughed at her. Absolutely no concern for how the patients feel at all. Alba if you read this, I sincerely hope you change your ways.

Negative experience: If the customer service and Doctor work absolutely exceptional I would have made a scene, the nurse was extremely unprofessional. Even after being told he was on the Spectrum, she was visually irritated, and mean when he wouldn't cooperate with her sticking a 6-in sharp Q-tip to the back of his throat. I don't want anyone to go through what we went through today I hope this facility goes over special needs protocol because nobody deserves that type of attitude especially not a sick child

Fantastic experience: The whole team is exceptional. Great customer service and wonderful care. We are lucky to have these people serving the community of Seguin. Dr. Padgett fixed my chipped tooth in a matter of minutes. No pain. You can tell she loves what she does. Definitely coming back.

Negative experience: I had an appointment and I received a call 9 minutes before saying it got canceled. When I made the appointment I didn't get noticed that I had to be there 30 minutes before. When i get to the clinic that's the explanation i get after driving 40 minutes well thank you for all that. Great experience!!

Negative experience: Heather is my provider and she is great. Your receptionist needs to remember that the patients are there priority. Stop what your doing and either wait on the patient or acknowledge them and tell the you will be with them shortly you have to finish up. Tell them to stop ignoring the patients like theres no one there and go about there buisness. The best front desk person is Amber. She does a great job. The rest need proper training dealing with the people that provide their livelihood.

Negative experience: while the physicians and such might be alright the lobby staff can only be summed up as either rude, incompetent, or lacking proper communication skills. Since I started taking over helping my mother after her stroke I've had issues with being given the wrong appointment date and time which was clearly written down and double checked, told to come in to hand in paper work but on arrival told by another that we need an appointment, insurance called in to setup a time for us to come in and again given a date and time that these services would be available only to arrive and say they don't do them on the date that the staff said it would be available, and lastly on walk in my mother arrived early and was one of the first to arrive only to get told that the walkin count had been reached and be sent home in pain while others behind her were accepted. My mother is a stroke victim and can't drive herself anymore. It isn't easy to get her to and from a place as i can't be there all the time to assist on certain days. And if you reply about what we can do to make it better .. don't bother .. just monitor and train your staff better. Simple as that . . communicate, double check inputs, verify, accountability, and compassion. You're dealing with people's lives .. act like it.

Thanks to Mrs. Alba I am much more cognizant of my health. And the staff are very helpful. Wonderful experience here at the Seguin family health center. Great place to come too for your medical needs.

Negative experience: I told the person I was needing an appointment for ADD medication which are controlled substances. I wanted over a month for my appointment. I finally get a call from the Dr. Who informs me he can't prescribe this medication. Waste of my time.

Positive experience: Check in took excessively too long. I made a special trip two weeks prior to update my health insurance. Clerk said they would upload. Checking in this morning it was obvious the special trip netted nothing. I arrived 30 minutes early and a new hire had to in process me. At least 20 minutes additional time. I hedged pre communication new insurance and arrived 30 minutes early. The nurse and doctor were excellent; once I got in. Don’t pre visit to update insurance. They won’t until your appointment.

Negative experience: I used to absolutely love coming here when I was seeing NP Lisa. Always took great care of me for almost 3 years. And then she left and then I saw Heather Martelon. She agreed with Lisa that my HBP rx needed to be increased. But once I picked it up at my pharmacy, the dosage was wrong. I tried calling at least 10x a day for 3 weeks with no answer and Norma's voice mailbox was ALWAYS full. Sti no way to talk to anyone about it. Do you know how stressful it is to get the wrong dosage for HBP and not be able to get ahold of anyone??? I gave up and moved on. Had to finally get insurance and I have a great PA now. Will never recommend this facility to anyone ever again.

Positive experience: Front office there was this one girl who was very rude with my mother and daughter.. My daughter just turned 18 and was trying by herself to go see the doctor and the Front receptionist for the medical center was very rude and not willing to help her.. There was another Front receptionist who stepped in and helped my mother and daughter.. Other wise the center is so amazing and understanding..

Fantastic experience: The staff, doctors, nurses and physicians assistants are fantastic! They really care about their patients and it shows. A lot of doctors just come in and write scripts and then send people on their merry way. They don’t really even listen to what the problems are or check for contraindications regarding other medications the patient might be taking. Seguin Family Health is better than that. The doctors and PAs know their stuff and if they don’t, they will check right there in front of you so you don’t leave with something that could really be harmful if taken with other medications/supplements. They treat you with care, patience and work with you to come up with a plan for a healthier future. A+++++

Positive experience: Great clinic with a wonderful doctoral staff. Administration seems to breakdown on communication and coordination of services however. But overall the most through and compassionate health services I have experienced. Wish my appointments went as smoothly as they seem to plan them

Negative experience: Hay en recepción una chica que es muy grosera, hace unos meses llegué casi media hora antes de mi cita para estar pronto. Me dieron los papeles a llenar ya cuando casi me nombraban para entrar y entonces me dice la chica que perderiá mi cita por no terminar de llenar los papeles, y cuando les digo que me los acaban de dar ya me están llamando para entrar al pediatra. Fue muy grosera esa vez, En otra ocasión me llamaron que tenia que llevar a mi niño al pediatra, estuve cerca de 2 horas en la sala de espera hasta que me llamaron. Después dure como otra hora en lo que iba la doctora y después me dijeron que yo no debía ir porque no tenía cita , Ese día perdí mucho tiempo. Esta última vez me cancelaron la cita 3veces e incluso estando ya ahí en el lugar. La chica nuy grosera me dijo que si perdia mi cita ya no me iban a atender hasta después de 6 meses. Osea que si los niños deben recibir una vacuna antes, supongo que no se las pondrán solo por tener esa regla o no se que sea. Yo solo esta vez cancele mi cita porque llovía demasiado y no podía sacar a mi bebe de 2 meses con tanta agua, se podría enfermar, llame y eso me dijeron y con una mala actitud. Deberían ser consientes en estas situaciones del clima. La doctora Angela si ea muy amable y me gusta como revisa a mis niños pero esta chica de recepción es grosera. Y ya he escuchado a más mamás hablar de lo groseras que son. Esta chica grosera habla los dos idiomas. Y para aclarar que hay una chica blanquita que también ha estado en estos últimos meses y habla inglés esa si es muy amable y atiende con una sonrisa. Espero lean mi comentario.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a great experience here at the Health Center..the girls at the front desk are always so friendly & willing to help with any questions I may have they make you feel welcome. And Dr Alba Perez has got to be the best I’ve ever had especially now that I was diagnosed with breast cancer she has been such great support she given me the health tools to get thru this cancer & beat it I give her a lot of credit for preparing me for this journey yes she’s very outspoken to the point but caring & a great listener but we need more drs like her who don’t sugar coat anything for your own good because she cares.

Fantastic experience: Seguin Family Health Center is an all around excellent place for your Health Care! The folks at Seguin Health Care encompass medical, dental, and behavioral health all in one place. The doctors, and staff are friendly, understanding and thorough, from start to finish.

Negative experience: Really not a great place, staff is not friendly or helpful, nurse practitioner Heather in particular really doesn’t show the greatest care in the work for patients, look somewhere else in my opinion.

Negative experience: Really, I had to wait a long time for attention. I waited for more than 1 hour to be attended to. The appointment had been scheduled 3 months ago for 9:30 am, the day before I received a message that the appointment was for 9:45 am, I should have been there 15 minutes before. I arrived at 9:15 and was seen at 10:45 am.
