Negative experience: My kids went here and they didn’t tell us about my daughter having to have any kind of filling on one side of her mouth until we went to check out and then they told us Dr. Helen the dentist didn’t even tell us and she is being referred to an endodontist for a root canal on one side of her mouth and we are getting a second opinion!!!

Fantastic experience: Finding a pediatric dentist like Dr. Katie in a small town like Greenwood feels rare—she truly is a gem. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind with kids, while also being respectful and communicative with parents. She takes her time with you and explains everything clearly, takes a conservative approach with treatment plans, and is always transparent about her recommendations and alternatives—never any pressure. She’s also very respectful of holistic preferences, including choices around fluoride and remineralization when appropriate. We feel very lucky to have found her here in Greenwood and highly, highly recommend her!!

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I took three of my kids (ages 16, 13, and 4) to Kids First Dental and Braces, and we had such a great experience. The entire staff was absolutely amazing. The hygienists were so sweet and incredibly patient—especially with my wild 4-year-old! They took the time to explain everything that needs to be done in a way I could understand and made scheduling future appointments easy and stress-free. As a parent, that means a lot. I’m so thankful we found a place that truly cares about kids and families. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: HORRIBLE. Do not take your children here the workers don’t care about how they operate or if their hurting you. I was recently seen in this dentist office and the dentist scraped and scratched my gums and jerked my head around. Horrible place.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sabooree who is the oral surgeon at Kids First Dental did an excellent job pulling my tooth. She was patient and calmed my anxiety as this was my first time getting a tooth pulled. She explained the whole process. Niyah and Chelsey who were the assistants also calmed my fears and helped me through the process!! I wish I could give them 100 stars because they deserve that and more!! Thank you Kids First for taking care of me.

Fantastic experience: They really have patience for kids and their families. They really coach the kids through the process so they won’t be scared. They really helped my daughter out a lot because she was very nervous to the point she almost wouldn’t let them do anything but they coached her through it and we got it done. Keep up the great work you guys are amazing.

But my 16 and 10 year old granddaughters have been coming since they were like 3 years old. Dr. Rood always explains things before and after procedures. The staff is always nice and makes you feel comfortable. Thank you for all these years of attention to my grandchildren's teeth!!!!

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist Hands down!! Very friendly staff that assists you and answers questions in timely manner and where you can understand. They stride to make all of their patients comfortable and knowledgeable on what’s being done. They will talk you through what they are doing and provide very in depth information of any work and procedures. They are almost never running behind on time and this is the first dentist ever that has not been over booked and I had to wait 2-3 hours to be seen. I’ve traveled to dentists as far as Georgia to Columbia and has never had service like we have had here

They are very welcoming as well everyone in the building.

Negative experience: I dont know how this place has 4 stars. I see complaints online constantly. Worst experience ever!! Office staff quoted us a price, price more than quadrupled after treatment with only treatments quoted for done. To add to that, when we switched dentists, the work in their mouth did not match what was in their charts. I had to threaten legal action to get the charges written off. What is sad, is that my kids loved the dental staff there

Negative experience: This was the worst and most unprofessional dental experience we’ve ever had at Kids First Dental & Braces. We had a 10:00 AM appointment to have my son’s crown reattached. After taking X-rays, the dentist, Dr. Jones, told us she might be able to fix it after seeing two other patients. So we waited. And waited. Babies can only wait so long, so I walked them around to keep them calm. One of the nurses approached me and said she would ask Dr. Jones how much longer we had to wait, since she knew we’d already been there for a while. She came back and told me it would be another 30 minutes and that I could either wait or reschedule. Since we had already waited over an hour and a half, I decided to stay. even called my husband to leave work early and help me since I had both kids with me. He drove all the way from Gray Court—just to find out the appointment was being cancelled. At 11:30, I asked the nurse if I could step out to get food for my boys while we waited since we still have 30 minutes, and she said, “It’s okay.”While I was out, my husband called to say the dental office was trying to reach me. I called them back and let them know where I was. The front desk lady CLEARLY TOLD ME THAT THE PROCEDURE WOULD STILL BE DONE AS LONG AS I GET BACK BEFORE 1:00 PM. I went to McDonald Drive Thru, which is 2 mins away from the clinic. The boys and I ate the food inside the car at the parking lot of the Kids First Dental just so we can come back on time! I came back at 12:40—THAT IS BEFORE 1:00. After checking in, the front desk told me to wait while they checked with the doctor. A few minutes later, a nurse came out and told me the appointment had to be rescheduled. I asked if there’s any specific reason why after she made us wait forever? She answered: THE DOCTOR WANTED TO LEAVE EARLY!!!! Dr. Jones never came out to speak to me or apologize. When my husband asked to speak with her, they said she was on lunch—so he waited. She never came out. Instead, the manager came and BLAMED ME for stepping out, even though I was told it was fine. Wasted hours, lost work time, and zero accountability. Absolutely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional!!!

Negative experience: I've had three bad experiences at this location. Once i responded to the automated appointment confirmation text, but my appointment was cancelled anyway without notice. I didn't learn of this until I arrived. The second occurrence was when all staff were out sick, but I was not notified. When I arrived the doors were locked. The third time my wife waited for two hours to have a procedure completed on our son's teeth. After waiting for two hours they told her they would have to reschedule the procedure or they could refer him to another dentist an hour away.

Negative experience: Worst dent group, very unprofessional and disrespectful. Unorganized dental office. I called to make a payment on my daughter braces n was first put on hold for 20 mins. I hung up n called back n was hung up on 3 times! I will forfeit my contact with the braces n find my daughter another orthodontist, very distasteful!

Negative experience: Took my son to get a filling and was told they were too busy to do it that day after I stated when I made the appointment that’s what needed to be done. Called to make the same appointment again because of course he’s having pain and was told the only thing they have available would be in October. I don’t know what has happened over the last couple of years but they are not what they use to be and it shows.

Negative experience: I was asked by one of the staff if I knew what braces meant and if I knew what orthodontist meant to play me like I’m stupid or make me feel stupid in front of my child after I asked her for an explanation in depth of what she meant about something I was very displeased upset offended and hate it happened in front of my own child

Negative experience: Moved my appointment twice just to tell me I would have to wait 45mins because I was early for an appointment which was incorrect. Scheduling is horrible also called me after I left out the parking lot I had to come back to make a payment.

Negative experience: Terrible, the hygienist and the DENTIST were very unprofessional with a patient parent that was beside us, who had some learning impairment as well as hearing issue. They were laughing at stuff she was saying, and being very rude because she had to get close to hear, and the hygienist rolled hers eyes … when checking my kids teeth she suggested a treatment that I didn’t want and referred to it as “no big deal”…, they just seemed very unprofessional and don’t care

Negative experience: Appointment was at 940 I'm still in the waiting room at 10 30 someone needs to learn how to make a schedule and keep it some of us have jobs and other things to do than sit in a waiting room because someone over booked appointments. With no communication that there running behind. If it was them who had a contractor or appointment with me I would not wait an hour after there appointment.

Negative experience: All but 2 members of the staff were rude and just acted like they didn’t want to be there. It was a very unpleasant experience. Trying my best to find a different dentist office for my kids. Also the office was dirty looking and a bit on the raggedy side.

Negative experience: No organization, always rescheduling our appt. Never seen on time. The ortho and dental teams do not communicate, there is always confusion at the desk. If my insurance would let me, i would leave this place and never come back. But I'm stuck. My kid will be truent after all the appt we have to keep making because they run out of time for treatment. I mean the folks there are nice, but not organized.

The Doctor herself knows her Job very, they all do. I couldn't have chosen a better place than Kids First Dental. My Grandson Jamon didn't even cry during the treatment. Negative experience: the worst dentist place ever! my son was seen for cleaning around June 2024. They found cavities, was told to come back July 1st for a filling. My husband took off work to watch my other child since my child with cavities would be on laughing gas. We came in and they did a cleaning instead of a filling. The staff was “he just had a cleaning he only gets one every 6 months” i said “i know he’s here for a filling” i was just thinking maybe they clean before, i don’t know. My appointment card said July 1 @3:00 pm they were confused and looked in the system the system had this date and time July 3rd @1 & July 3rd @5. There were 3 different times and 2 different dates. I was told bring him back two days later. My husband couldn’t take off work twice in a week. So i called and got another appointment set up it was Dec 17. We went and waited an hour in the waiting room. Once we were called back, an hour later, we sat in the filling room waiting on the dentist. some kids came in right when we called back and were immediately taken to the back. The dentist told me one minute let me go numb his mouth and I’ll be right back later after she didn’t only numb his mouth. She did his whole mouth and they were left to go home. She came back to my room. My son was ready to be put on the laughing gas, he had been fussy because we have been sitting there, but he was ready the assistant had already put the laughing gas over his nose when the dentist came in and stopped it and was like I don’t think it’s a good idea for him to be seen today because he has been fussy. he was ready he was calmed down. He was ready and she went on to tell me about how his cavity is too close to his nerve and they think he should be seen somewhere else for that as in being sedated somewhere after I was recommended the laughing gas because I didn’t want my child sedated, so eventually, I had enough after waiting all day and hearing excuses I went to check out didn’t say anything else to her. at checkout i was told I would be referred somewhere. I finally got an answer today asking who he was referred to for the second time because the last time it was “i will call you back” every time after that was voicemail so when I finally got someone on the phone today, they transfer me to the dentist who “hadn’t spoke to me before” to tell me that he was dismissed from their practice and I said why because I walked out because he had two appointments to get his cavities filled where he doesn’t get them filled like he supposed to and she said she’s never talked to me before, but yet told me I was persistent with him getting his cavities filled. I recognize the voice. It’s the same dentist who stopped his cavities from being filled when he was ready. It’s been a half a year and his cavities are still not filled. he has been “ dismissed from the practice” because they couldn’t do their job. I’m glad I didn’t continue to get his cavities filled because she seemed that she didn’t know what she was doing anyways all the excuses she was making. And to be told, my son has been dismissed from the practice when he had been there Since he was born is crazy. We waited for two hours and my son was ready before he was interrupted by the Dentist as she made excuses.i Had enough of my child not being treated properly There. Maybe I was wrong for walking out, but I did stop at checkout to get clarification of his referral and was told I would be called back. I never got a callback. But at some point enough is enough I care about my child’s well-being more than anything and for him not to get the care he needs Made me very upset. For them to wait half a month to tell me after that appointment to tell me that he has been dismissed from their practice. as if I was going to bring him back there anyways lol. I dismissed y’all. Anyways, don’t take your children there unless you want to wait hours for them to be seen, if you want your appointments to be messed up, or if you don’t want them to be cared for.

Negative experience: Entirely too slow. There's no reason for a 8:00 appt and don't get out until after 10. The carpet and chairs in the children area needs cleaning.

Negative experience: We waited for almost an hour for the actual dentist after cleaning. Judging from the 5 other patients and the dental assistants not seemin to care I'm guessing this is a standard occurrence. My wife usually brings out daughter. I won't be returning. I have never had my time so disrespected honestly.

Negative experience: Please go anywhere but here. They never want to actually do a deep cleaning. They just run a regular toothbrush over their teeth and call it done. Every time we wait over an hour, after the cleaning, to see the dentist. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. We will not be back.

Fantastic experience: My son and I are new to this town so I needed to get him a new dentist and kids first is great! They were quick with his cleaning and really kind.

Negative experience: Would give absolutely no stars but couldn'tpost untili did at least one. Poor service all around. Lobby was filthy. My children came in for a cleaning and all was well but after their cleanings we waited over an hour to be seen by the dentist for the exam. They never received those services. The dentist never took one look at their mouths. When I asked the staff what the hold up was there was no help or explanation whatsoever. One dental assistant even fell asleep whilst with other patients at her desk. Wasn't told if they had any issues with their teeth after xrays either. Ended up leaving without completing their visit and was told to reschedule their exam which I've never had to do. Will be taking our business elsewhere from now on even if it means I'm paying more for services rendered.

Negative experience: Do not come to this place. If you can go anywhere else, DO THAT. I gave this clinic every opportunity to make things right. I’ve talked to at least 4 different people since March and called many more times than that. I’m now writing this review to try to prevent others from having to deal with the same problems I’ve had to. I brought my 18mo son here for his first ever dentist’s visit. The woman who “cleaned” his teeth did not rinse his mouth afterwards. He threw up when we got home. Straight up, vomited. My fault, should’ve said something, but I guess I trusted that they knew what they were doing. We continued to sit there for probably an hour, waiting for the dentist. I understand wait times. Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate THAT long of a wait and I had to get back to work, so I asked the lady who cleaned his teeth how much longer it may be. She was sitting in the cleaning area at the desk. She looked up at me shocked, as if I was inconveniencing her by interrupting her scrolling her phone and eating chips. Her reply: “Oh, it’s gonna be a LONG time”. Unprofessional. Unsanitary. Terrible management and customer service. I don’t leave bad reviews because most businesses know how to treat their customers. Like I said, it’s been since March. I’ve tried to remedy the situation but here I am, about to pay these people for this poor excuse for a “service”. Go somewhere else. Literally anywhere else will probably treat your kid better than these people.

They call and text you so much to confirm your appointment for you to still be sitting in the waiting room 30 minutes after your appointment time!!! There is no reason we should be at the dentist for 2 hours. But will charge you $25 if you don’t show up!!!! CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!
