Negative experience: They are absolutely horrible. I have no idea what these so called Dentist actually do ?? Maybe they don’t understand that being a dentist means more than pushing paper around … What a JOKE!!! Not to mention the office is completely run down. .… yuk!

I have to sing and perform in front of a an audience from time to time and it has really helped my confidence. They have been great. Negative experience: I wasted my money in this place. Please go somewhere else for braces. My treatment was supposed to last a year or year and a half and now it’s been 2 years and I am still on braces. My contract was only for 2 years and since it expired in feb. Now I have to pay 869 to continue with my treatment of 3 more months. I feel that 869 for three months its a lot since I paid 3,800 already. I will not recommend anyone to get braces at this place since you can get them cheaper somewhere else and get a better result. They told me that if I was happy with what I have they can remove my braces now but honestly, I feel that I still need a lot of work on my bite. My low and upper midline do not meet in the center of my mouth, I brought this counter to the ortho and I was told there was nothing they could do since that was how my mouth needed to be. I just feel really frustrated and stress about this place. Don’t waste you money and time.

Negative experience: Incompetent office manager. Do not go here they commit billing fraud, they take advantage of people and will lie about everything I am still dealing with this office for a balance that shouldn’t even be on file anymore for my parent. Unfortunately parents don’t have many other options for in network providers due to insurance otherwise we would have never gone here. I actually ended up finding an independent dentist who gave me a better estimate for the same services western dental was trying to rip us off over.

It’s a great working office but from the outside it looks abandoned. I know if the look improved it would also boost business and respect in the community.

Negative experience: Never come here for ortho. Terribly expensive. Not clear about contracts. Ended up having to get ortho work done 2 years after braces. Hour long wait times on average. Don’t tighten braces enough. Provided broken toothbrush set and toothpaste and mouthwash cannot clean for anything and taste like hair gel and sugar. Wouldn’t recommend to my arch nemesis. Also I wouldn’t even recommend regular dental they let a student or beginner idk do my cleaning and left a drill running in my tooth and hurt really bad Do better and go somewhere else.

Negative experience: do not book anything here, booked a consultation for my teeth and went before my scheduled time and waited 2 hours just to be told i can reschedule for another day because they were busy and about to close, lady doing my xrays had an attitude and was raising her voice at me, and the worst of all i was lied to and told i had 4 cavities to try and sell me of services, luckily didnt accept anything and got a cleaning at a different dentist where they told me my teeth were fine and i have no cavities. would highly suggest general dentistry with dr harshita patel in salinas.

Negative experience: Honestly, I cannot recommend Western Dental & Orthodontics at all. The amount of dirt everywhere in the clinic is horrible and completely unacceptable—it’s so bad I genuinely don't understand how they are even still open. To be fair, the professionals who work there are great, and the staff was very friendly. However, in a dental office, hygiene needs to be the absolute top priority. The equipment, furniture, and facilities they use need a deep cleaning and an urgent update as soon as possible. It's a real shame that such a good team has to work in such a neglected space.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Stacy and Paris were very considerate, attentive, patient and informative with me. They made sure that my comfort was priority before, during, and after working on me. Dr. Stacy checked in with me regularly and even made sure we took a break before moving on. When my jaw started locking up a bit, she gave me a brief jaw massage before continuing. That was a first for me by a dentist!

Negative experience: The only reason why I’m reading it a one star is because there’s phone service is so horrible. They pick up the phone, but they don’t tell you to hold this. Put you on hold and then they forget about you. Patient care is outstanding.

Jazmine and Lilly were exceptional—they were extremely detailed about my dental needs. I was so impressed that I might even get my fillings done the same day! Negative experience: I had my appointment at 3:30pm and waited until 5:20pm were they informed me i had to go back because they didn’t have time for me. I went after work waited two hours to be told to go back another day? I have things to do. Would definetly not recommend. Bad service. And the lady who helps the dentist takes so long because she flirts with male patients

Fantastic experience: My previous visit was with Dr, Mary and she was the best. She made me feel so comfortable and also safe. She didn’t make me feel bad for my lack of hygiene. Instead helped me and made a plan with me to work on my gums. Dr Stacy and Yolanda were helpful this time around . Giving me tips on what fruits would help my gums. Specially Yolanda gave me tips on how to maintain my teeth clean. She Made me comfortable and made the dentist visit less stressful.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time coming here. I drove 45 minutes to get here. I made an appointment for 9 am. Waited in the lobby an hour. Then waited another 45 minutes in the dental chair. The dentist tells me because you had a previous surgery for a tumor I can't help you until you get all these forms signed by a doctor. I don't even have a doctor to sign the forms. They wasted hours of my time and have terrible business practices. I don't recommend coming here.

Fantastic experience: The staff was very helpful here. I was in a lot of pain because my k9 tooth chipped while I was grinding teeth at night. Came here as emergency called in yesterday afternoon to schedule this appointment. I was a bit hesitant to come here because I had heard bad reviews for the payment part not the service from my mom and uncle but due to the pain I was in I came in anyway. I am so glad and greatful I did. I was met here with a young man that manned the front desk/ reception was very professional and respectful a bit shy though never the less was fine with me. Then went on to meet Jazmin a very polite, respectable, and down to earth young lady made me feel comfortable with the procedure I would be having done the following day. She explained things thoroughly so I was comfortable with what was to come including the payment options (my mom and uncle don't know what they were talking about either way I'm glad I'm a rebel and didn't let others taint my experience with Western Dental on 1229 North Main in Salinas ca ) Great team here and thank you all for your service everyone I am grateful to you all. -Janneth B. Negative experience: If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I had appoints back in November and they kept cancelling me because they were ALWAYS understaffed. I requested i get my money back because they were charging me monthly. I came in to request a refund on December 13 2024 and they said it would take 3-4 weeks for me to recieve the full 400 dollars back. It is now Currently April (almost May) and I have not received my refund.

Negative experience: Got there at 10 am for an appointment that should have taken an hour at most. (Removing my daughter’s wire from braces and new x rays). Ended up being there over 4 hours. They lost her wire. Left her sitting in the chair for over an hour while they “looked for it”. Everyone left for lunch. She’s late for work. Still in the chair. The tech who was left ended up cutting a new wire. Why that wasn’t done in the first place? This is t my first unsatisfactory experience with them. Unfortunately I’m locked into a contract with them for her braces but I wish I’d done more research. Western dental is about making money. Not about the best care I’d take your time and look into other options if you can
